Need help from non- NC Huddlers

I have a friend of mine who has a daughter who suffers from mitochondrial disease. I don't know a lot about it, but her 6th birthday is the 24th and this is only the second time she hasn't been in the hospital for the occasion.

Her mom is asking for lots of cards, but I'm specifically looking for people from around the country and the globe. If you don't mind buying a little girl a birthday card and mailing it I'd appreciate your help.

Inside NC is obviously welcome, but I've tasked myself with going beyond our borders.

So far I have commitments from Ohio, Michigan, Tennessee, Texas, Oregon, California, Kansas, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Alaska...and Scotland. I have reached out to a friend in Japan and have another back packing through China.

I know the huddle is represented in many areas and it would be awesome to see us all come together to put a smile on a little girl's face. Birthday cards or post cards would be great.

If you're interested please inbox me as I don't want to post their mailing address here.

Wonder if JZod could get something in Spartanburg. ..

Thanks in advance.

Just a suggestion - since most are likely concentrated in a few states (I'm in Georgia), and you have those covered, anyone that has a nice photo of a landscape from some place they visited could include the photo in a birthday card accompanied by a note that says "Happy Birthday from X." We've been to Puerto Rico and Costa Rica in the last year and could cover those. Just thinking that lots of us probably don't have postcards laying around.

You can put me down for a New Orleans card, I just won't mention my team. I can also talk to relatives in Spain and Puerto Rico, although most of them are vacationing right now. PM me addressi I'll get it out later today.

That would be cool.

The target isn't picky at all, she just wants to get cards and I thought about getting them from different places. Whatever you're moved to do will be fine.

I appreciate anything and I'm sure she does as well.

Ever since this was posted I've been taking my DSLR everywhere to print out a stack of photos.

    • It goes deeper than that for me. When I started watching the Panthers as a kid I fell in love with Mark Fields’ story during that SB run. He wore #58. Then TD wore it and kept the tradition of the being the soul of the Panthers. The next time someone wears #58 I hope brings that same spirit
    • T-Mac is a nickname, Tet is a shortening of Tetairoa. Like you said below... your name is Jonathan, I could see "Jonny" being considered a nickname, but Jon isn't a nickname, it's a shortening of Johnathan, see the difference? And if your mom named you Jonathan for it's biblical significance/meaning, because she was very religious, I think it would be different. T-Mac is Polynesian, so much in their culture has deeper meaning for them, particularly names.  So for his mom to feel this way, I highly doubt it's just because she likes the name Tetairoa and not Tet, it's much more likely than not to be because the name itself has a deeper meaning in their culture.   Particularly as T-Mac himself has often talked about how much his Polynesian heritage means to himself and his family. And no, I'm not saying all this because of how much he's my guy, if he was just "normal american" and his name was Jonathan and he didn't like fans calling him Jon, I'd probably just say tough poo.  It's that he's Polynesian and I know things like names have a much deeper meaning in their culture than they do in ours for the most part. For whatever it's worth, a quick google search.......
