He was quite good but he hung onto the ball resulting in sacks too much mostly because his mediocre receivers were getting shutdown

we know you're a troll because you keep harping on this media created issue rather than any of the team's actual areas of concern

I'm curious, and if somebody knows this answer from what they observed because it's important.....

Were our other wide receivers covered well or did Cam just not see them. I watched the game, but it was a stream and preseason,  ect. ect.

Cam looked great, KB looked like megatron and the O line gave Cam enough time in the pocket to update his Facebook if he wanted to. We will be fine, can you people really not tell this was a very vanilla, half speed night?!

From Bill Voth since he was there

  • Cam Newton’s passing numbers – 8/12, 88 yards — wouldn’t be awful if he had played just one quarter. He played into the third, producing no points. His line didn’t help, giving up three first-quarter sacks (you could make a case the first wasn’t on the line). For the second straight game, the best news is Newton’s ankle held up through the sacks and three runs that totaled 12 yards.

Edelman scorched you for 100 yards and Brady was 17/21 and you lol at our recieving corp?

Edelman is better than any kick returner or reciever you have on your roster he's going to catch 100 balls and be a top 3 punt returner.

Lets revisit it after the season when we win 13 games and you win 7.

    • I just dont get the worry over losing a practice squad player that just went undrafted. Everyone just made their selections. The chances of a team wanting to sign him to an active roster after not selecting him is very low.  If that interested they would have taken him late to evaluate in person. As far as I can tell two qbs were signed off another teams practice squad last season and they were both going in to their 5th season.
    • I enjoyed reading this thread and the usual banter that follows. The only silver lining I can identify right now is we do actually have a couple of young QB's behind him and we do have a nice roster on both sides of the ball built around the most important position. So if the team overall shows some promise but we still falter largely due to a lack of consistent passing output (again) hopefully the decision makers can be free to make the best decision for the team going forward after the conclusion of this upcoming season.
    • I don't really follow the team anymore due to a variety of reasons and consequently have largely stopped posting but I agree that this is a lovely website and community. This forum probably kept me around for years longer than I would've stuck otherwise because of how difficult it was to stop checking multiple times a day. Especially appreciate how lax the moderation tends to be compared to a lot of places, the crew here does a great job. Out of curiousity I decided to try making a new account (solely for testing purposes) to see what exactly is wrong with the sign up process. The issue seems to be that it never sends you an account verification email, thus making it impossible to complete registration. This is likely something to do with the email server upstream, hope it gets fixed. Also, lol
