Is Jadakiss Top 5: Dead or Alive?

Not that I myself listen to rap (too much into trance/edm rite nao), but if somebody lists their favorite top 5 rappers and automatically rifles off tupac, biggie and eminem, I assume they don't have a developed taste in rap, much as they'd like to think they do. So if you want to throw jadakiss into the ballot, don't be ashamed to. I myself forgot he even existed (again, eeee, deee, emmm) but you seem more informed.

wow.. to say Jada is inconsistent is crazy.. he is possibly one of the most consistent to spit fire every verse- it's just he isn't commercial enough to have the big hits. When he came out with "Kiss of Death" he got a little more MTV/BET play with "Why" and "U make me wanna", but he gets lumped in with the LOX too much and isn't appreciated as a solo artist.

And I love the LOX, Styles, Sheek and even J Hood, but I just feel Jada is in my Top 3 favorite artists:

1- Nas

2- Ghostface

3- Jada

(then some sort of mix of Mos Def, Eminem, Gza, Meth, Scarface, Az, Biggie, Common, Lupe, Reggie and Jay)

can you tell when i was born? lol

or

I do like Jada but like 13 Amp said, for every gem he has, there is also some dirt.  I can say that for a lot of hip hop artists.  Just my 2 pennies

i think they are at their best as the LOX

you just put 2 totally different Jada/Styles tracks against each other.. one is super laid back that the other is super gutter

how about the last video i posted in the OP- Blackout.. who killed the track more? Jada or Styles?

that sounds like one of their songs from their second album, which was Ruff Ryders and by far my favorite of theirs.  1996-2001 were my favorite years in hip hop and that was 99.  As a group, Jada certainly stands out a little more and is almost always singled out by most people.  And most fans would probably agree with you he is the better of the three, I just like Styles first album I guess is why I favor him more.  I guess the comparison in songs I used is because I think of Jada as better at that chill flow while Styles is more gutter(he is the one that was always in jail).  I'm not hating on him at all, but getting into these debates about who is best, is just based on personal opinions and even how someone feels at that moment.  If I made a list once every 6 months, I guarantee you they would change slightly.

I was always an east coast guy, and The Infamous, The War Report, Reasonable Doubt, Pieces of A Man, Illmatic, Capital Punishiment, The Big Picture, SDE, The Way of Life, Moment of Truth, Livin' Proof amongst others all kinda set the standard as far as full albums of quality of hip hop for me.

    • I've shown you numerous comps for other tackles in the same age and talent range.  His contract, taking into account his age, health, etc.  is the going rate.  It's a fair deal. I've shown you examples of how long it usually takes to find even an average replacement.  Hell, look at every tackle that has ever started for the Panthers.  How many would you consider a success?  They are not easy to find. After everything we've done with this team since drafting Bryce why would we decide to let our best linemen go and add a huge question mark at tackle?   FA is a crapshoot in which any guy available will have cons/issues.  If not, they'll cost a fortune.   Outside of a first or maybe 2nd round pic next year it'll take a few years for a tackle to learn the position at the NFL level.  There are still questions about Icky. Every vet NFL player deals with maintenance.  Between the contract value and history I'm not overly worried about his knee.  I contend his knee issue isn't anything to be overly worried about.  It's not zero risk but it's an acceptable risk.  Every player we draft and every contract we sign has risk.  You're blowing up his own negative words about his knees and ignoring him saying he is healthy and the knee is a non issue.  You have a strong chicken little complex with this team.  Being he has always been a Panther they are very aware of any health issues. We paid now because now is cheaper.  If his knee was really an issue they would have waited.  That tells me it's not the issue you want it to be.
