Cam is expected to practice Wednesday and start next Sunday.

 

Bene's fumble recovery is "something that we practice". It's good to see a young player play heads up.

 

Rivera thinks Bene fell in the draft because of his speed.

 

Rivera is "very comfortable" with Derek Anderson, and has felt that way since he's been here.

If Cam comes back, Joe Webb stays on the roster and "we continue to do what we do". Joe has "earned the right to be here". 

 

On game day, Joe Webb will be active, and be the 5th receiver and will play special teams. He would play "all over" on special teams. He would only be active if Rivera is concerned about the starting QB's health.

only reason Webb would be active as third QB would be if there was a concern of health of Cam or Anderson

It was "tough" to make the decision on Cam not to play. In the long run "we're better off now" that he didn't play. Rivera "will feel much more comfortable" with Cam and his health moving forward.

Doctors were adamant that this one week would make a huge difference in Cam's longterm health

The way it was told to Rivera, this one week will make a huge difference (this further shuts down any bullshit negativity KillerKat and co were spreading across the boards yesterday) in his healing.

Will "most certainly" watch the Lions tonight and see if "there's something we can pick up".

Godfrey got more snaps over Harper because of certain situations. Could be something going forward that is done consistently. Godfrey will stay on the roster as a CB/Nickel/Safety. 

 

Rivera thinks Josh Norman "deserves an opportunity". He "had a talk with the coaching staff" about it.
