Are we going to completely ignore that Kuechly hasn't been playing well?

This thread broke the needle on my Stupidometer.

No kidding.  This threads singles him out and plenty of others rag on him too.  Let's see here: The D is missing key players, others aren't showing up (to their normal/potential anyway), and he still shoulders the role of leader.  Nevertheless, Luke was one tackle shy of being tied for first in the NFL in TT, has three PD's, a sack, and an FF, and dang close to a pick six today.

Has the DROY then DPOY done better than he has over the past two games?  Yes.  Has he missed a few tackles?  Duh, but most guys won't miss those opportunities because they'd have never been near the ball in the first place.  Can he do better yet?  Yes, that's the scary part (for other teams), and he'll be the first to tell you that he needs to improve in certain areas.

Get real.  Luke's play is the least of our issues right now.  In fact, it isn't an issue at all.

Alot of people have no issues when it's Cam being singled out. And his situation is ALOT worse than Luke's

The world is full of idiocy.  Luke can improve on pass coverage and Cam on short passes and more quickly getting rid of the ball.  They are the glimmers of hope, not the problems with this team right now.  You need to look higher up in the food chain to see where the real issues are with this team.

I'll pretend like you didn't say Cam needs to get rid of the ball quicker give you some pie and say good post. Because everything else I totally agree with.

It's true.  When the opportunity is there, he is not yet consitently making those accurate short passes like other successful QB's who go to slice and dice pass attacks when the deep threat isn't available and the run is getting stuffed.  However, I will agree that if the plays called don't have at least one guy put out there ready to catch it, then it surely isn't his fault, which is what I meant when I said you need to look further up.  Oh hell, I'll just say it:  Shula.

Too much responsibility right now. He feels like he has to stop offenses all by himself like it's 11 vs. 1. O-linemen are getting to his level more so than he's experienced since he's been in the league, so he's getting the new challenge of trying to fight off blockers.

Lol, he fills like Cam now

Just got in from out of town and watched the dismal performance I had taped from the Panthers.

The biggest thing that stood out, besides the poor effort all the way around, was the lines of scrimmage.

We do not control the Oline nor the Dline.

Cam is rushed and our LB's have Guards attached to their chest constantly.  The lack of pass rush is laughable and is exposing the lack of talent we have in the secondary.  Cannot open holes and Cams injuries seem to exacerbate his questionable mechanics.  Mental mistakes were prevalent today also.

Injuries, losing Hardy and TD are showing us who is good and who cannot pull their weight.  Don't think we have a DE on the team nearly as good as the one who might not ever play another down for the Panthers but is making 13 million this season.

Poor efforts all around today

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
