Lets see how Cincy plays this game.

You like a deep go route / fade that is defended with a sub 10% chance of being a completion?

Well, if used sparingly (like it should be), it can catch a defense off guard. Its not something you want to make a living out of tho. Lol!

Seriously tho, not a bad call if it is few and far between. IMO.

We gotta take what the defense gives us. Bears were all over KB yesterday and Olsen and Dickson were left free all day and I bet the Bengals will be looking to do the same. Even the running game looked a lot better yesterday cause the Bears had to commit to the pass more. If this team can stay healthy and the Oline can play between average and mediocre play we saw in the second half and not the terrible play in the first im predicting we can beat the Bengals and also make a good playoff run.

I have no issue throwing it if it caught the D off guard ie the streak is left wide open.

but if defended it is an extremely low chance of a completion. it is easily the hardest pass / route to catch in football (if defended).

Not so sure about that, Pats o line has been almost as bad as ours and frankly, we have looked like a mirror image of NE this season. One beastly TE and serviceable WRs, Cam has looked Bradyesque lately with his passes. Our offense looks a lot like the Pats.

Only diffence is we dont have Darrelle Revis locking down AJ Green on the other side of the ball. That was a big difference in that game because the Ginger relies on him to make at least one great play a game.

    • McConkey is such a better player than XL that it isn't out of the question that he'd have improved us by 1 win last year, which would have dropped us to 10th or 11th in the draft.  If we fell to 11th behind SF, they probably take him as they were heavily rumored to want him.  2 more wins and we fall to 11th or 12th, if we are 12th behind both the 49ers and Cowboys, then he's 100% taken by one of them. Also, drafting McConkey wouldn't have stopped us from getting Coker as an UDFA. So even if he was on the board when we were on the clock, I'm not sure we're taking him over a defensive player given how bad the defense was last year.  Part of why he was always the pick for me was that we had no legitimate long term WR option at the time, having McConkey changes that and makes going defense much more feasible.
    • Or a statue of him in a golf cart and you can sit next to him
    • I've said many times that if I had known in high school that long snapper was an NFL position I would have practiced that every day and did all could to get that contract. Sure the money is not starting QB level, but it is life changing and if you manage it right you and your kids will be set for life. Not to mention you have access to the highest level of medical staff. Plus, by rule, they can't hit you.
