Unless we are in the position to grab a blue chip LT in the draft I would address the tackle position with a veteran free agent.  Top Tier Free Agent.  We hope that Foucault can develop into something special.  But he is probably not going to be ready till 2016.  Outside Kalil and Turner no one should feel safe.

That said, the running game showed some life and the O-line gave Cam time to throw in the second half.  We hope it means they are starting to gel.  Changing now may not be the best thing for the unit.  She may be ugly but this is who we brought to the dance.  Hopefully at midnight or so she'll blossom into a beauty queen and we'll be the talk of the town.

We need that money to sign our players.

Id rather the scouting department do its job and take snag a solid OT in he 1st or 2nd round. Someone like Juwan James from last year. Then get a sleeper / faller like Hurst or Henderson in the later rounds.

We do not need all pros back there with a mobile Cam. Just need people to not completely stink up the joint.

Barring injury, Bell will be employed for a long time. If we cut him tommorrow, 30 teams would put in a waiver request.

Our fans exaggerate our personnel issues as if we are the only team struggling.

You guys laughed at me when I said we wouldn't resign Donald Lafell because we couldn't afford him.

If anyone else would want to take him on as anything more than an emergency tackle/waterboy, god help them.

Bell is bad, no denying that, hopefully next year we will upgrade at LT.

But speaking of bad, did you guys see Morgan Moses last night?  I know there was talk around here of possibly drafting him.  He almost got Cousins killed, I have no idea wtf he was doing on this play.

I can see your point but if you take a late first or late second round OT you could be reaching for a player that may not handle the NFL.  You take a solid veteran you are assured of a player that can handle the NFL and protect Cam while you train that late round pick.   I think if you are taking an OT in the draft he has to be one of those top 3 or 4 OTs that are locks as a starter.  Which we all know is never a guarantee.

Hardy is going to sue him for defamation to the number 76

Well you are assuming we draft late 1st. We have to let that play out and maybe a fat guy falls from heaven like Star did. Maybe we feel strong enough to trade up 5 spots.

But I honestly think gman knows offensive line. He passed on Moses for a reason. Even if we get a good rookie tackle, we won't start two rookies. Bell will likely be offered a contract this offseason.

If our interior can play better it will make Bell look better because Cam can step up instead of backpeddle. If he gets healthy he can punish an overzealous pass rusher by running into space when a guy tries to go around Bell.

And I wouldn't give up on Silatolu but I would bring in competition.

You could argue Bell is our most reliable lineman this season. How could you watch the games and single him out? Cam made a great point about the hurry up, it stopped the defense from rotating pass rushers. Sometimes you have to put guys in position to succeed. Tired dlineman can't beat our guys on the snap.

It should be no surprise our line graded well this week.

our oline did better then last week but we still gave up a sack and a fumble for the 3rd week in a row

We tried for one OT in the offseason and couldn't get it done.

We all know the big difference between college and pros.  Only a few OT coming out of college will be better than a veteran FA.  It would have to take some good luck for a surefire tackle to fall in our laps.

I know Gettleman is a genius and love how he picks his players but we cannot continue to hope he is going to land that replacement for Gross after round 2 or 3.   Get a solid Vet and let the rookies learn.  That's my opinion.
