I have nothing against the kid. I just hate the whole "Chosen One" label our media places on certain QBs, then go out of their way to convince us of how great the QB is with selective talking points.

Luck play has never impressed me. He just seems like a average QB who has good timing, gets a lot of lucky breaks,  media hype, and despot what the media wants us to believe a very good team around him. He almost got picked off back-to-back but no one would be making much out of that especially if his team wins.

Yet if it were Cam getting the praise you'd have ZERO issue with it. ZERO. And ANY fan of another team who ragged on Cam you'd fiercely bash the guy.

Luck broke one of Cam's "first two seasons" records and he's going to break Cam's "first three seasons" record.

Just face it, Luck is just as good as Cam. Some will say better. Get over your hate. He stayed in school because he didn't want to play here and the media likes him more than Cam. GET OVER IT.

I agree that his playoff performance last year was way too glossed over and that if Cam or Wilson put up a turnover filled performance like that it would never be brushed aside so easily. And he does play in a weak division. But to act like he's in the lower half of the league and then to suggest his passing yards are due to dumping it off to RBs (in a game where his running backs have combined for 25 receiving yards out of over 300) just shows you aren't watching.

U are the one compare Luck to Cam. Cam isn't playing with the same weapons as Luck and he still manages to help his team win. Advantage Cam.

What is even more sad is the endless deceptive Peyton Manning/Luck Comparison. The media is still trying to sell folks like you the BS that Luck inherited the same type of team Peyton had in 1989. Far from it

    • Ha-ha, I bet that went through everyone's mind.  Admittedly I don't read all the comments in a thread before I make a post. Great minds think alike!
    • Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
    • I don't think Canales has any problem benching Bryce or moving on if Bryce doesn't come out playing like the end of last year.  It's year 3 no more excuses for Bryce
