"Wide receiver is not a problem" [Phrase should be banned]

You know the part which I like? Where it says " Russell Wilson was the league's best against the blitz at +21.5 and he did it with one of the HIGHEST times to throw at 3.05 seconds." I thought he had a bad oline?

No. Just not the best O-line.  But he's such an overrated, under-performing mobile QB...in the pocket?

Not really.

This draft upcoming I'd feel safe at not even touching WR.  Our Oline and secondary needs to be the #1 priority, with those bandaged up with some up & coming rookies other areas will flourish with the ability of time in the pocket/better coverage in the secondary.

No matter what you, I or anyone says, we all know what G-man is going to do: BPA. He is not going to draft for need, he is going to draft talent, regardless of the position. Knowing this, I am going to do my best to take it in with a block of salt and a smile.  I really didn't have any WTF moments this year until round 6.

No and it it was pretty much backed up by other services as well.

It was for passes that travelled 20+ yards in the air.

If you go to pff you can find that information easily. It contradicts your claim. Aaron Rodgers led the NFL in 2011 with a 60.7% completion and Karpernick in 2012 with a 60.6% completion in balls that travelled 20 or more yds in the air

You are likely looking at a stat they do called deep passing accuracy.  Which is not the same as completion %.  I don't pay for their site, so I don't visit there very often but they do a deep accuracy, which is way more arbitrary (which is why I don't pay money for their site, most of their advanced stats/grades are arbitrary, and therefore not reliable).

Usually actual completion percentages for passes travelling 20+ yards down field are in the mid 40%s to 30% range

ETA: Could be that he finished in top 3 in NFC in completion % on deep passes in 2011 however, behind Rogers and Brees.  But they did not complete 60% of their deep passes.

As I said, there is no way Newton was top of that stat in his rookie year

Whether he is #1 or #3 dosent change my original post that throwing down field is usually up and down for most QBs.

He was good first season, may have regressed to the mean last two seasons. In other words it might not be anything but variance moreso than anything Cam is doing different specifically.

Qualifying can be considered validation.

Edit: There's a lot of qualifying going on.

except that every roster on every team of every sport can be upgraded at every position.  rosters are fluid.

of course our WRs can be upgraded, but they are better than what we had last year and will be a step better next year.

Luck just superior to Cam. get over it and appreciate how Cam has appeared to improve despite his injuries. I guess everyone on NFL Network, NFL AM, and Charley Casserly are all wrong in their praise of Luck. Those ex-players and general manager can't be nearly as intelligent and objective as members of this message board. Doubt a G.M. in the NFL would take Cam over Luck.

The Portland Trail Blazers took Sam Bowie over MJ. GMs are not infallible.
