People know they can't play the game at the NFL (or NBA or major league) level.  I mean, most folks with a reasonable amount of sanity realize they aren't 6'5, 260 with 10% body fat with insane strength and quickness.

 

But...  everyone knows they can coach better than (fill in the blank).  Because, you know, they watch a lot of (insert sport here) on TV, or they played it in high school.

 

I guess as a high school coach I have a little bit of insight from the other side.  I certainly don't agree with every decision Ron Rivera makes, or Roy Williams or Coach K.  But jeepers, some of the gameday posts are completely asinine.

 

Guess I better get used to it, since high school basketball season starts in just a couple of weeks.

Most people dont deal with having to make a instant decisions.  So most will choose the one that is do or die instead of the one that gives you the best chance to succeed.  It was the correct decision to kick the fg and give you team multiple chance to win instead of risking it all in one play.

I haven't read a game day thread all season, just for that reason.  I went to game day chat once or twice just for the entertainment value and just figured my blood pressure was a bit too low and that certainly helped.

 

Some of these high school parents must post on these boards. I honestly think they think we should throw a deep pass about every two plays.You should hear them in the stands. And some don't even know the rules.  Cray.

 

I'm preaching to the choir a bunch in here.

 

Oh and I almost forgot.  Fire Rivera.  I hear The Golden Calf of Bristol is looking for a job.

If you joined All Pro you could talk with people that actually love the Panthers and realize that not everything is perfect

      Not totally inaccurate, haha Except that kid wasn't as excited as I was.  I was yelling louder, and more, and running around the room in circles until I almost passed out from exhausting and was trying to catch my breath for a good 10 minutes because I'm way too old to be doing that, LOLOL Oh, and I tweaked a muscle in my shoulder from all the fist pumping I was doing too. For as awesome as that pick was for me, it really screwed me up for a few days between my shoulder and lost voice (Wrexham securing back-to-back-to-back promotions Saturday afternoon contributed to that though too).

      Full disclosure and the real reason.... I'll be seeing my Nephew in basically one month from today, and while I've gotten him stuff from my other teams the past year, I hadn't been willing to saddle him with Panthers stuff yet, that's now changed lol. So if the jersey would get to me before I see him, I'd get that and him his first Panthers onesie/shirt so I can get a picture of us together in them. If it wouldn't get to me by then, I'd just wait to get the one I prefer.  So yea, my rush is really just about trying to get a picture of myself in it with my Nephew in Panthers gear too.
