Serious question, couldn't Hardy drop the appeal and take the guilty conviction?

 

If this is the case he could make a good case for time served as the 6 game automatic suspension, give up six six game checks, and be playing in a week and a half against Seattle.

what it comes down to is hardy picked the wrong year to be in limbo mode.  any other year and he wouldn't have missed a game.

Dignity probably got in the way of Hardy pleading guilty. Sad some huddles don't have any.

No way in hell I'd plead guilty if I didn't do the crime, even if it'll benefit me.

Greg doesn't care about the Panthers. He's worried about his own business. Looking out for number one. He knows this is going to be the highest paid season of his NFL career and he's not about to give up a single game day check to get back on the field. He's getting paid to go away. Why would he come around the team now? He's probably never playing for us again. He has no contract. He's ineligible to play. The front office is probably mad as hell at him for making a seriously dumb series of decisions.... why would he be welcome here? If he's not playing football he's no good to anybody.

 

Hell, he's probably happy he doesn't have to give up his salary this year. Even if he's found guilty, I would bet his salary for next season wherever he plays is going to be only a portion of what he's making this year. That six game suspension won't cost him nearly as much.

 

He gone, folks. Let's move on. It sucks, but we can't count on this dude ever putting on Panthers gear again.

point being hardy hasn't so much as been accused of looking down somebody hard and he's been sitting since week one.
