When will Stephen Hill Get Activated?

If Hill were half as good as people think he is, he'd be on the roster already.

I think this can also be looked at both ways. With how quickly seastrunk and others(reaves) and lester have been droped and resigned i would think that the coaches would drop a nobody like hill. I think they see something in him... Let mad doctor prohel do his job. When the time comes...he will be ready.

Well considering our slow guys are dropping them, I rather take the speed and drops. Offense need to be opened up some more

To open up the offense, you have to be a credible threat.

Opposing defenses would cover him one on one with a single corner or as part of a normal zone.  That doesn't open anything.

Ginn wasn't credible at 1st but still drew some attention.

And what do you think their doing now anyway. Rolling coverage to Benji or Olsen and 1on 1 to the other JAG WR we have.

Hill in the slot opens up a lot. He can definitely pull a safety over the top away from Benji. Our guys has gotten open looks and dropped the ball. Cam waiting for slow receivers to run 10 yards with our oline isn't going to work from this point forward

It does seem odd that since Philly went down (the only quick fast wr). The quick pass offense is non existent.

And what's sad is since Philly game against Pitts I heard Rivera speak on using him. Since that game he's had to have been targeted less than 6 times. We rather throw quick screens to Avant

Why does everyone think he will be our saviour? There is a reason he is on the practice squad. So what he can run fast, can he catch or run the routes. No one is coming to save this team. Get over it.

To be fair, not being able to run the routes correctly might be a good thing when those routes are drawn up by Mike Shula.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
