You know who created the situation where Gross had little recourse but to retire, right?

Lol little recourse but to retire?

Do you think he still wanted to play but was so bummed he quit football altogether? I'm sure there were teams that would have been interested in a former all pro left tackle. Of course that can only happen if the guy still wants to play.

So, your answer to my question is not only, "No," but you have not read or listened to or otherwise learned anything about why Jordan Gross decided to retire.

post some links where somebody with credibility and who has ties inside the panthers says point-blank "jordan gross was forced into retirement by dave gettleman"

if gross still wanted to play football he would have entertained offers from other teams.  he didn't and turned into a toothpick seemingly overnight because he was no longer eating like a pro football player.

he was 33 when he retired and had come off a great season.  somebody would have given him like 3 years $25 million with $8-10 million guaranteed if he wanted to play.

i don't think it's unreasonable to come to that conclusion.

All he wanted to do was play in Carolina, he had no desire to play anywhere else and Gettleman would not ensure he would stay with the Panthers. Pretty well known situation, not sure how/why you weren't aware of it...

see i figured you'd say that.  problem is you can't simultaneously believe that and still say this:

You know who created the situation where Gross had little recourse but to retire, right?

he did have recourse other than to retire.  ask for a trade or ask to be cut if he still wanted to play.

quit crying over spilled milk.  steve smith is gone, jordan gross is retired, get over it.

He wasn't forced per say. But I think Dave played hardball and tried to make Jordan restructure and play for peanuts and Jordan said fug you.

see i can buy that.  that's something that happens in the NFL.

what i can't buy is "all little jordie wanted to do was play footbawl and dave hurt his feelings so bad that he couldn't do anything but retire".  i think that's insulting to jordan gross actually.

Read my post again. I said Jordan Gross didn't want to play anywhere but Carolina.

Nonetheless, I don't care that any of them are gone. It was your ignorance that required me explaining it to you, and you want to get shitty with me?  You should be blowing me as thanks for me educating your retarded ass.

    • You said the team goes limp-dick in the playoffs because RBA won't change. (Note that you did not suggest what changes you think he needs to make). You then stated "Rod will never change anything." I can only infer that the team continues to fall out of the playoffs because RBA doesn't/won't change. Therefore, if RBA will never change anything, the team will fall out of the playoffs. I mean, that is literally the line of logic you posted. So, I'm not sure what you're suggesting, since I don't have a crystal ball.
