Mark Cuban anyone?

Without being morbid or calling for someone's death, who would you guys want as a new owner?  Felix Sabates, according to what is published, is only worth $200 million, so he may not have enough to buy the team when the times comes around.  Plus, his commercials with Rivera may indicate he is not as sharp as he once was when he was younger when it comes to making sound decisions.

Bruton Smith...I'll just stop here.

My vote is Mark Cuban.  He is worth $2.7 billion, knows how to win (he does have a Championship trophy), will probably hold weekly press conferences whether we want them or not, stay awake at the games and I have no doubt he would tell Roger G where to stick it when necessary.  He is relatively young and I hear he hates Harris Teeter.

Like winning the NFCS, somebody will HAVE to buy this team eventually.  Might as well be the polar opposite of Mr. Richardson.

this isnt on JR. Jr has given Gettleman free range to whip this team into a contender before he dies.  Which is why he did not dispute or over rule the steve smith cut.  JR is not penny pinching.  If he could buy the top players in the league, he would but we have this thing called a salary cap that has and is still screwing this team.  The only way to get out of debt is to make sacrifices.  This season was sacrificed in order to fix the salary situation for years to come.

JR signs checks. That's all any owner does. In the past JR's decisions (hiring Hurney, gutting rosters, etc) were responsible for failures but you cannot put this on him. After he fired Hurney, he hired consultants (Beane & Co) who were extremely qualified & did the work to find him a new GM. JR hired the guy that the pros told him was most qualified & he has given Dave full control of the roster, & he's spending the money. He's paying a crapload of dead money to guys that aren't here anymore on top of the salary.

JR is actually doing his part these days. He's financially commited, given full control to the GM, & stays the F out of the way. That's all any owner can do.

If he had done this 15 years ago we probably wouldn't be in this mess, but that's moot. He's doing his part now. People crying for a new owner & wishing he would die better be careful what they ask for. There's no guarantee the next owner will miraculously be this great leader & CEO. It's more likely we end up with a clueless stiff.

MJ is a failure running a team in a sport he actually knows, he'd be a dumpster fire trying to run a football team.

I was half joking but I'd be fine with him. He wouldn't try to run a football team. He'd let the people with football knowledge run it. The main thing is he would be a player's owner, not one who preaches the league motto. You think Jordan ever would've let Hardy be put on the exempt list?

    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
    • Nah we just talking about giving a platform and normalizing predators (who both beat women) opinions and celebrating it if it fits your narrative.  If that's fun I'm fine being a miserable fug by not supporting P.O.S like that. N b4 you call me a libtard or some other dumb ish know I'm an Anarchist/Libertarian and believe both these dudes should get a complete ass whooping (at min) or something worse for what they have done to women in this world.
