For those that think they know, what will be our pool of DTs?

id like to have any of the titans or giants dts, both those teams seem pretty stacked with talent. but i still think our best bet to get a decent dt is gonna be a trade

As much as I would like a trade it isn't going to happen. If the panthers were going to make a trade then it would have happened before training camp ended. We are going to go through the garbage and find someone else's trash. Nobody is going to be released from the Giants or Titans that we will want. Our best bet is that Mangenius is actually an idiot and releases Corey Williams.

I doubt we get any cuts. Anyone worth a damn will be taken off the waiver wire first.

What we'll do instead is contact clubs that *may* cut a player we want, and offer a fifth or sixth for him. They get a pick, we get the guy we want. We'll get a better caliber player that way too.

OK, football analysts (and Scottie, I know that you had something a couple of weeks ago or so), who will be in our pool of available DTs once the cuts start happening? Who is realistic? Who would you like to see?

I've tried looking for this info and really haven't found anything that was worth anything. Most of the info I did find was about either Corey Williams or Glen Dorsey and it was speculative and included the Panthers...thanks Darin...

Thats the same source I used in a thread I started earlier in the week. It doesn't mention that vested players do not have to clear waviers but serveral other sources do say that. Since there isn't a clear source coming from NFL.com or anything you just have to take it for what it is.

    • I mean....no lies detected. See above. We have traded a fortune to draft a guy #1 overall that people have lowered standards for to the point that not playing like Jimmy Clausen and looking like a poor man's Kyle Allen occasionally is worthy of a contract extension making him one of the highest paid QB's in the league. That is cope on steroids.
    • summary: "let's talk about your draft, what did you think about Freeling" Dan:   guys with a huge upside, can come in and compete to start.  High ceiling "he does what for your offense?" Dan:   it's hard to find left tackles, guys that big and athletic.  We have Icky coming off an injury, we signed Walker, I believe your offensive line can never be too strong.  If we're going to win the game, it's gotta be up front on both sides of the ball, so we make a point of emphasis on making both sides of the front as strong as possible. "how many mocks did you see Monro falling to you." Not many times, left tackles are gonna go a lot earlier than when we took him.  We want to add the best player, in free agency or the draft"  that's our philosophy, to get the best players possible. "Hunter and Brazzell." Dan:  we followed the board.  Lee we felt very highly of him , super strong.  Brazzel so flexible and loose, can open the verticle.  Will Lee we held in high regard. "you take a look at your receiver room, Coker, my goodness, your offensive rookie of the year in Tet.  Lost Rico, but there is Jonathan Brooks. " Brooks coming off two knee injuries, he worked his way back, looking great, fully healthy, will help in pass and run game.  Icky, not sure when he's coming back but we're excited about both "plan on extending Bryce" we'll keep talking, will keep internally.  We believe in him, has such a great grasp of Canales and offense, has improved every year. "he's clearly come back from the benching, the arrow is trending up, where does he feel" Bryce knows where we stand with him, when and if a deal gets done, he knows we feel great with him, we'll get something done at the right time. "if this a prove it situation?" everyone in the building has to prove it, has to earn it. Tmac was everything we wanted, his work ethic, he's so big and talented, but he puts the work in, and is a great teammate. "your level of expectation, the building's level of expectation for 2026 "our goal is to win the division every year, we know we have to earn it.  we have to put the work in every day, proving it on the practice field, and our  guys know that." "schedule" we haven't opened at home in 2 or 3 years.  We love prime time games, hope we get some "
    • this one is gold:     Bryce has a cult inside the Panthers fanbase that has truly developed some NPC hivemind. I'll never understand how he's captured the true essence of the casual fan like that.
