Is this team in position to cut CJ this off-season? ?

WOW!!

There is a real possibility that CJ could become a cap casualty if he's not willing to take a pay cut, and Big Money doesn't come off as the type to give back money.

Also, I know many are saying Hardy is done in Carolina, but not sure I agree. I think DG would have cut him immediately if he and Ron had no intentions to negotiate with him. Hardy is an intriguing athlete, with size and strength to play inside or out as a pass rusher or run stopper, and he's been remarkably healthy his entire career. Players like that don't grow on trees. Guys like Hardy and Cam are created in a lab somewhere, and introduced into society using surrogate parents.

Honestly think the OT positions would have been addressed by now. There likely would have been a stud RT being groomed to replace Gross at LT.

fair enough but those two things aren't mutually exclusive.  Johnson didn't ham-string us so much we couldn't develop players, just hurt our ability to bring in stud FAs.  I wish we did have a better OL but honestly, I keep a top tier DE over any other position outside of QB 10 times out of 10.  I guess my feeling on it is that there was no better solution to the situation than paying him.
