Florio is now talking about the Bears as an option too.

 

Yeah what would Bears have to offer Fox? The Bears are missing to many pieces to make the Playoffs.  With the Falcons Fox can come in make some small changes and look like genius.  He isn't going to go into a job that will hurt his reputation.

Ernie Accorsi is working as a consultant there.

 

I agree the Falcons job is the better one, but i think the Falcons are farther along in their search than the Bears are.

Might be true and the only other thing would be Dimitroff. Fox could have more control in Chicago.

Fox would only go to Atlanta if Dimitroff got fired and a new gm with his values took up shop there.

I thought Chicago right off the bat because Cutler is crazy gunslinger and would work well in a run first play action system.

He'll draft an explosive pass rusher and build his defense around them ala Peppers and Miller.

This was already the weirdest NFL season I can remember.

 

And it just keeps going :lol:

 

It has been pretty strange and this off season coaching carousel is just as weird. 

 

Let's see Rex Ryan to Buffalo, turning down the Atlanta job if reports are correct. 

Likely have Fox to Chicago, Del Rio to Oakland, Gase probably to Atlanta (makes the most sense to me) 

 

What the heck are they doing in Denver though and what is the plan there going forward... Cause I have no idea how they recover. 

 

Also still have the Jets and SF jobs as well on the board. one those has to be Doug Marrone..... or does he go to Denver now that it's open????

Marrone was speculated in Chicago because of a prior connection to the new GM. Now they're talking Fox because of Accorsi.

 

Heck, give Kyle Shanahan the Denver job with Mike coming along in some capacity and then everybody hang on and go "wheeeee" :wacko:

Mike and Kyle together in Denver = made for tv and should be automatic hard knocks winner.

I cant wait, should be an interesting few days seeing where everyone inferviews at.

      Great article on all the Lil Canes attending their debutantes ball. Walt with a great breakdown of all the rookies, as always, and I'm a huge fan of his team coverage, he is truly a treasure, but as a fan of mixed metaphors and superfluous language which some might ignorantly refer to as a "run-on sentence" I never really understood what that mean or where to put the comma after a quote in the middle of a sentence, but holy poo Walt, this is a gem, "While there's a long road left in front of them left to determine whether or not they'll have that same success on the blue line again, the beginning stretch of the journey has been thrown a wrench, and the story on defense has been the emergence of up-and-comers forced into becoming lineup regulars." , bravo, take a bow, sir!

      When the broadcast showed the two benches side by side during the last TV timeout, it was pretty obvious the whole operation is a shitshow. If I was the owner, I would play that clip, with commentary, on the jumbotron at MSG as I fired the coach, GM, President, the whole lot. Bring in your AHL leadership team, wholesale, to finish out the season and start from scratch next year.  Can't fire all the players and fold the season. But, hopefully decapitating the zombie will light a fire under the body and burn out the cancer of the roster. (It makes sense if you don't think about it...) There are obviously issues on the roster. But, you can't have the entire coaching staff completely tuned out with 5 minutes left in a 2 goal game this early in the season. And you can't trust the people that hired them to hire the next staff. If you trust your AHL GM/Scouts, let them run the deadline firesale.   ...     Please don't let the owner read any of this. Because, this poo is hilarous!
