My draft 1.0

Toundra

Recommended Posts

1 / Jaelen Strong  Wr.

2 / Devin Smith Wr

3/ Austin Sheperd OT

4/ Ladarius Gunter

5/ Jake Ryan OLB

With 2 wrs + Kelvin and Olsen and Browns Cam will have tons of weapons, Strong is really an impressive Wr and Smith is a perfect deep threat.

Austin Sheperd is huge with a good lateral move he is a RT, we need an LT but with a 3th he is a solid pick.

Ladarius is obviously very good against the pass, maybe not so good against the run.

Jake Ryan is looking like a wonder for a 5th (5th for CBSS, not for long if you ask me..)

My concern with adding another young WR (or two) is that we'll be fielding a VERY inexperienced WR corp. that could take 2-3 more years to fully develop. Sure, youth has its advantages as well, but I'd rather go get a veteran with playoff/SB experience with Torrey Smith in free agency and focus on the tackle spots and pass rush in the draft.

Agree with this.  If you double up on WR you need to have an experienced guy such as Torrey Smith or even Cotchery to balance things out.  I think a FA upgrade would be beneficial but would not totally whiff on two WR in the draft if the opportunity is available.

    • Nobody on the huddle is saying we have an elite group offensively across the board. They aren't great. They're young. If you are expecting someone to agree with your position of blaming everyone around Bryce Young nearly three full seasons into his career you are going to be left holding the bag save for a handful of people who act like they are paid to defend his honor. Bryce Young is not a guy who has had to claw and fight his way into starting jobs in football. He's had the best to work with and been gifted roles since he was a teenager. The Panthers have one of the youngest rosters in the league and with us needing an infusion of young defensive talent in the upcoming draft we're only going to get younger. We need a QB who possesses the ability to elevate those around him. If you can't agree with me on that then there's nothing further to discuss.
    • All Bryce and the Panthers had to do was split with the Saints and a rookie QB. The bar was so low. They even had a whole bye week to prepare. The time for singing kumbaya was before that game. Anyone still talking about Bryce earning a second contract 43 games into his career is living a fantasy. He might get one from the Tepper owned Panthers but he's damn sure not earned it.
