The Intimidator

Looks just like Apollo's Chariot at Busch Gardens just a little higher. I'm very mildly afraid of heights, no more than the average person I'd say, but that ride was the only thing I've gone on where I got that 'oh poo' feeling. I haven't been to carowinds in years but I'll go to ride that.

Its bigger and badder than Apollo's Chariot and Goliath for sure. Both of those coasters were designed by the same company that designed the Intimidator.

And if you take a close look at the lap bars, you'll see why there are no inversions. Why ruin an awesome ride like that with shoulder harnesses? Its all about the airtime with these babies.

Natty knows what I'm talking about since he rode the Chariot. I'm not sure if Goliath has the same lap restraints and stadium seating as this coaster will, but this coaster will have bigger air than either of those. Carowinds has plenty of inversions, but the only thing close to an air machine they have is Thunder Road.

As it stands, its the 2nd tallest Bollinger and Mabillard hypercoaster in the world, and the 8th tallest steel coaster overall in the United States when its done.

It has some very nice elements on it that have never been seen on a B&M hyper, like the panoramic turn around.

Carowinds is knocking one out of the park with this ride, but most people don't seem to realize it.

I'm not sure there's a coaster that I would take over it, except the Black Mamba, which is an invert, and we already have a top 10 invert with Afterburn (formerly Top Gun).

I love roller coasterz!

And I can't wait to ride it. Looks to be the best B&M hyper in the world. Maybe Silver Star is better, I dunno. But its very close.

    • We agree here dawg. I'd love for Bryce to succeed as would all huddlers. I have not seen a single huddler hate Bryce for anything other than his play on the field / potential / skillset. He hasn't gotten any of the irrational hate having nothing to do with football that Cam got. And yeah I understood going into this season with Bryce again as there weren't a ton of options, but man we missed the fuging mark on upgrading at backup QB with someone who could actually push Bryce. Bryce had zero pressure on him with a 100% washed up Dalton being the only other NFL caliber QB in the system. That absolutely needs to change this offseason. Ideally with an actual starter upgrade but that seems extremely unlikely due to not having many FA options and a bad draft. But at the very least with someone like you mentioned, young/upside and/or day 3 pick in the draft.   Another note, we have a top paid and top performing OL, great young talent at WR incl. likely OROY, great RB group, average all around TE group, offensive coach with creativity in the system and good play designs (poor situational playcalling but still I put out current offensive coaching staff over Shula who held Cam back for instance). Not the absolute best situation for a QB to be in, but still a very good situation around him. And yet we have a bottom 8 offense (6th lowest points scored). Imagine taking a victory lap for a QB leading his team to the 6th lowest points scored in the league and the 22nd highest passer rating (despite being asked to do less than many other QBs; i.e. Bo Nix who isn't great either and has a slightly lower passer rating but Sean Payton actually lets him try to throw the ball deep and has him throw significantly more than Bryce). Crazy
    • similar to Atlanta and the NHL.  Atlanta has lost two NHL teams (and lost a minor leaguer).  Now there's another coalition pulling together another proposal for Atlanta to get an NHL expansion. While I'd like hockey to be back in Atlanta 'cause hockey is fun, I am skeptical that it'll happen based on previous teams' experience here alternatively: similar to Atlanta hosting a Major Tennis Tournament in advance of the US Open every mid/late summer.  Aside from the fact that Atlanta is said to be the country's largest Tennis playing city (with both USTA and ALTA, along with a number of side leagues) - playing tennis outdoors in Atlanta summer is miserable *and* they had difficulty attracting players... ticket sales were not good. So the Atlanta Open closed after 14 years.  They just couldn't make it happen, even if for all intents it appears to be massive tennis interest in the surrounding area.
    • So I saw where Luke was doing that show parallel to the game. Whatever it was, statcast something something, knew it would be a good watch. I don’t get ESPN any more but that would be one of the about few things I would watch outside of games.     He doesn’t fool around on the radio broadcast.
