Looks like Pogba is going to Manchester City for £71m.  Manchester City looks to wrap this one up before Summer tour.  It means Vidal is going no where.

Liverpool looking to wrap up Banteke for £30m.

Crystal Palace bid for Cabaye.

He's a box to box Midfielder which is what they're missing. Get Vidal/De Gea and Otamendi (if they sell Ramos) and should be set.

Man U said they wouldn't sell De Gea unless offered a record breaking deal, and while Madrid has done so before (Bale most recently) I don't see them doing it this time.

Cool, they'll just sign him for free in December.

No way Utd lets that happen. Odds are there will be more shots fired back and forth before they agree to a swap or De Gea re-ups with Utd.

De Gea has no reason to re-up with United though. When the season starts he'll be less than five months away from getting the move he wants IF they don't figure out something in the summer, which they will. There's really no benefit (outside of getting paid a couple of months earlier) to De Gea if he truly wants to go home to Spain.

He gets both if he waits five months though. It's not like De Gea is hurting for cash. I just can't see him signing a new deal unless Real Madrid has moved on.

Manchester United will sale De Gea.  Madrid will want to buy De Gea.  De Gea want to join Madrid... Mutual agreement will be reached.

Liverpool doing a lot of good business so far...  Firmino £29m, Clyne £10m, Kovacic £16m and Ings £6m...  That's £61m already spent.

But Liverpool still needs a striker...  Ings is nothing more but a decent back-up.  Rotoworld reports that Liverpool are still very interested in Benteke but not at £32m price.  Multiple reports say that Liverpool will cave in at the end and buy Benteke for £32m (due to very limited options without CL).

I assumed if Liverpool spents almost £100m they would almost have to sell Sterling to offset the cost.

Now reports comes out linking Arsenal to Vidal again... this is hilarious.

Liverpool prepare to take their spending past £80 million for the summer, which is good news for Man City as they launch a third bid to secure Raheem Sterling…

The Daily Express report that Liverpool are ready to meet Aston Villa’s £32.5 million release clause in Christian Benteke’s contract. The Belgian striker would be their sixth signing of the summer, taking their spending past £80 million. All of which is music to Manuel Pellegrini’s ears. City have already had offers of £25m and £40m for Raheem Sterling knocked back, but with an £80m hole in Liverpool’s budget it is widely thought that a third bid closer to £50m will finally land their man. Sterling reported back to pre-season training this morning and will no doubt want the matter dealt with quickly. Not least because he stands to pocket a £4m slice of his agents’ fee if a £50m deal is done, thanks to an unique contract arrangement.

Toby Alderweireld's summer has taken an odd turn as Atletico Madrid reportedly missed a deadline to pay Southampton a £1.5million fee to invalidate their right to make the Belgian's move to St. Mary's permanent for a cut-price fee.

If this story is true then someone at Atletico is in big trouble because Spurs and perhaps Chelsea appear to be willing to pay far more than the rumored £6.8million fee that Southampton's loan deal allows them to purchase the player for. The deal will also likely not sit well with the player as he apparently has his heart set on joining Belgium colleague Jan Vertonghen at Spurs this summer.

Spurs just got screwed............. lolol

We won't sign Kovacic.

Also- reports saying we are willing to meet Villa's £32.5m buyout clause for Benteke are probably false. Barrett and Pearce have both said we won't budge from £25m.

So who's going to play striker?

    • I mean I just don't understand the argument. Baker and Sam both have been pro bowl QBs post their time here. And you just said yourself that is due to him having a damn good roster around him and they are well coached. You're even saying the bad baker is still there somewhere, but he is in a good organization with good roster and coaching that they are getting the best out of him. Why does Baker and Sam get all that benefit of the doubt but when it comes to Bryce it must be a BY9 problem, not an org or team problem?  Hell I got a guy below you arguing with me that Chark/Hurst/Mingo sucked because Bryce wouldn't throw them open. It's ridiculous how far the stretch goes.
    • Correct.  It’s really hard to get open in the NFL when opposing defenses gameplan and cheat coverage/routes on all your players because they know your QB can’t make certain throws/plays.   magically no one that comes to Carolina can get open or make plays with the ball in their hands…..it’s like there is one singular common dominator to it all.  BY makes playing defense way too easy.   NFL players are too good to allow one side to cheat coverage and not respect all the potential threats of a route  so you can dial up a great play.  But if corners and safeties just cheat coverage and know X and Y happening on route/threats….getting open gets hard when they just play it one way.  Getting open has a lot to do with the different threats a WR can pose on a given play.
    • Kinda depends how you look at it both were 3rd round draft pics.  Nico was nothing before stroud and tank came in with stroud.  If both were on the panthers would young have them doing well and starting or would their stats be low.  I really dont know the answer to that.  None of the panthers wrs have left and did well either but personally i feel neither of nico or tank would do much on the panthers.
