Everyone needs to relax its the third game of the PRESEASON! I just watched the Lions handle the Colts this morning...does anyone see that happening during the regular season? Just because its a game the coaches prepare for its still a glorified practice, and it still doesnt count. Last year we kicked the crap out of Washington, imagine if you were a Redskins fan, you probably thought your season was over. Well they actually started the season pretty hot, and faded towards the end..The preseason has no bearing on how you start the season..believe me, we may not be as good as we all thought, but we are def. NOT as bad as we all think! Now take a deep breath, and just remember if we beat Philly week 1, all 4 of these games disappear from our minds..its that simple..

Peppers said last week it is a practice session. They just happen to keep score. My numbers say he's averaging $1.5MIL for his two tackles this year. I guess we could give him partial credit for the jumping jack last night.

Bla bla bla its a game. You don't do anything not caring if you lose or not. You play to win the game, you play the next game not only to win the game, but to correct what you did wrong last game. Delhomme has not been impressive at all this preseason. He had one decent game, the second. Tell the Ravens its just a game, saying its just a game is a cop out for loosers. Our starting QB play is avg at best, both bck ups are about equal, our defensive line allows too many runs up the middle, we need a big experenced DT to plug the middle. Our DB's still playing soft coverage, not breaking on the ball till the catch has been made. Nothing has changed, nothing!

Don't mean to rain on your party but players don't get paid for preseason games. Sure they get paid a ton and he is getting 16 million but when they calculate his salary it includes regular season games not preseason.

I realize it is somewhat moot since 16 million over 16 games versus 20 games still pays him a ton but just sayin.................

Hey dude the party includes everything; practice, meetings, film study, teamwork, showing up on time, off field life and preseason, EVERYTHING.

many starters just see these games as live simulated reps..they know they can't play the whole game so the w/l doesn't matter to them but how their reps went..

The preseason is seeing what individuals might be good enough for the team..not what team is better then the other.

That's what makes me worried not only is the team as a whole not doing well, but on D the whole secondary has looked like its forgotten how to tackle. I have never seen a more disgraceful performance by a secondary in my life. Giving up huge plays in the air. Giving them up on the ground. And that's all individual sucking not just as a team.

    • ^I want that, but Rodriguez over KC. Don't hate KC as much at that spot, but rather take a WR with the pick we gain in that trade than in the 1st.
    • I think there is good points in this thread to what the team needs to do. 1) Ball isn't really the issue but, he needs reigned in.  Coach and he need to realize when things aren't falling from the three and learn to play other facets of the game.  He's an amazing talent and when he's on, he's on.  But he can also shoot you out of a game.  We're lucky Miami went that way but that is too many missed threes.  He still needs to bulk up if he can, but he needs to drive more.  He's pretty good at finishing usually and hopefully the fouls come (probably not though).   2) The whole team needs to be more physical.  As others have stated, we need more bulk in our bigs.  Diabate is a hurricane of energy but cannot go against the larger centers.  I love him on the team but he should be more of a match up type guy or energy off the bench.  I think he'd be insane off the bench.  However I think the biggest issue with Diabate and Kaulk is the lack of offensive game.  The lack of a jump shot or anything.  Teams figured out to just leave them on the screen and crash lanes.  There has to be some sort of threat.  We need a 4 and a 5 that can do those things and stretch out the court. 3) Bridges.  He's just undersized.  However, I feel he really threw his all into it the last few weeks when others were gassed.  He was ok not being a focal point.  I'd like to have him off the bench as well but I assume he'd be traded to make things work.  4) Miller.  Dude can light it up when on, but disappears for quarters at a time.  Also he needs to work on ball handling and passing.  He's a turnover machine at bad times.  Also hopefully over the injury so he can bulk up too.   5) Kon. Just a rookie.  Long season and back injury.  I have no doubt he'll be back stronger and focused.  Needs to work on defense and physicality like the whole team but yes, a rookie he'll get there. 6) Coby.  Has to be resigned, no question.  The bench lineup is rough without him running the point.  Team has big potential and the front office seems sharp.  They seen the hive and how crazy it got and how much the city wants this.
