Could Melvin White make the transition to Safety?

Forget about an experiment, where a guy is not at his natural position, draft Clayton Geathers. It's too critical of a position.

 

Rather address it in the draft before another position change which the Panthers seem to bank on a lot over the past 8 years

I wouldn't be upset with letting Melvin White switch to safety, but I think in his best interest he should play corner. He should be working hard this offseason to improve, and get better for TC to compete with Bene on the outside. I still have faith in Melvin to play on the outside. He lost confidence last season because our back end was way too weak. We really need to upgrade the safety position and hope Melvin can improve going into year 3 like Josh Norman did.

yeah C.Geathers is an intriguing mid (3rd or 4th)round pick,but another one that I really like alot is J.Tarrt.
