While house hunting I came across this site. Has anyone else used it? It's kind of weird to see where the different broadband that's been laid out. I found it really odd all the fiber optic lines laid in the middle of no where called the Pawnee Grassland. That big blob on the left is Fort Collins

Yeah I live 45 minutes from Google but they have no plans for fiber across the Bay Area, and yet wherethefugami, Kansas is getting Google fiber.

fug you Google.

Yes we are - they're actually installing line outside my house as I type. And I live in Olathe, outside of KC... wherethefugami is way out west toward Dodge City.

Boo ya.

While few and far between, Pawnee still has a number of homes. But that map is strange. I live in Fort Collins and haven't heard much about fiber optic access. There's been more talk in Longmont and Denver developing such a network but that map doesn't resemble that. Zoom out of Colorado and you'll see that map plotting access to much of the northern plains, especially ND. Do drill sites need fiber optic internet?

No, we use cell communication. But those lines were laid years ago by Wiggins telephone
