I wouldn't have listed Shaq there. It would have went to Bene or Tre Boston. 

Also, Anthony is nothing like Lofton, and certainly doesn't hurt the pass D as much as Lofton did. Lofton has zero coverage ability. He was slow and had trouble moving laterally. Anthony can fly sideline to sideline and has no trouble moving laterally.

Looking at their roster...geez.  They could finish behind the Bucs this year.  I don't understand how people still somehow think they have a shot at the division.  That team has like nothing.

Because they have a future HOF QB in Drew Breezus. There was a time when IMO they had even less on offense (with Brees), but with all the issues and changes from this off-season it's hard to put them ahead of CAR, and ATL.

Seeing the panthers D runs "nickel" 65% of the timetime, its the base D. No way Luke or Davis are coming off the field that leaves Shaq as the nickel/Buffalo/joker role.

If he can't cover TEs or zone slot WRs, that means shaq will only get around 20 snaps each game. Thus a bad start to a team that's been SUPER spoiled with 1st rounders making a impact.

Shaq biltzing hmmmm, I honestly thought harper would had a bigger sack impact than he did last year. The sack total drop form 13-14 was due to the DBs/LBs. So shaq should play a role in getting more sacks. His tape had a few biltzs and he looked like a 7/10 biltzer in 4/3 LBs terms. College tape is suspect in blitzing for me, hard to judge if it translates. I mean you get free unblocked in college lots, that rarely happens in pros. Shedding blocks, hand usage, quick twitch moves ...I don't know if shaq has all those currently.

      Option 1 is most likely. Even if he kills it this year, it wouldn't be prudent to rush an extension for one good season. If you have to pay him more because you waited another year, then he earned it. And that's OK. Adjust accordingly.

      Cam had the advantage of having a very strong supporting cast his first 2 seasons. Things definitely worsened later on. But those first couple of years can kill a QB. Some never truly recover. If they do recover it takes years, and usually with another team. Trying to learn to be an NFL QB with TEs and WRs that are trying to learn too is a recipe for disaster. Imagine if Cam's rookie season was that 2014 offensive squad. Changes everything! I said it when they moved up in 2023. This team wasn't ready for a rookie QB yet. Anyone that thinks Stroud would have been a lot better is delusional. The correct formula is to build a strong team and then you go get your rookie QB. Not the other way around. BY is going into his third season and we're still trying to put a respectable group of WRs and TEs around him. I think they have the right personnel now. Unfortunately they haven't developed into actual NFL players yet.  This season we should expect consistency and aggressiveness from BY. Mostly for his development but also to DEVELOP his young cast.

      It is goofy how some people hate Bryce so much that they're flat out lying to try and remain entitled to their pessimism. It's insanity. Most fans are realists and eagerly awaiting the season to see if we get pre- or post-benching Bryce to start the season and how much he is able to do with some young and developing weapons. Many of us understand that these young guys are going to have growing pains on the job as well as the new defense, but the fans with all of the excuses for why Bryce can't be successful are pounding the no excuses drum. Personally, I'd prefer the Keep Pounding drum.
