Midgard... test server. We tried to tell them ToA sucked balls, but devs never listen. I used to love going in with my Shadowblade, climbing wall points, and Left Axing the poo outta squishies. Massive fun.. then they made it stupid RvR. I used to go up against the Team Leads for the Albion classes. Those guys were crazy funny.

God it would have been fun to go back and play a pre-nerf Bezerker or Shadowblade...In my opinion TOA made the game more of a time sink, which certainly sucked, but didn't kill what RvR/PvP was. New Frontiers was the real deathblow.

It was a friggin blast... ToA introduced the whole elemental resists, where you had a penalty against Fire, etc. Pretty sad that in one week's time, I went from terrorizing squishies, to them standing there laughing while they nuked me into oblivion. Frontiers was just a badly implemented cool idea, but ToA made RvR ludicrous for LA's.

Man I miss those days. It was exciting sneaking in and trying to off the glass cannons, then jumping the wall trying to get out before his friends made you a meat pudding ;)

I was a pretty big DAOC player back in those days, by far the best PvP I ever experienced in an MMO. Of course then they had to go and screw it up for the sake of "keeping things new/fresh". I played Albion on Percival mostly, you?

Was orginally Hib/Kay. After TOA I didn't play much in the frontiers and stuck to the battlegrounds. Played off and on for a few years after TOA. Ran around Molvik on Mid/Igraine for awhile. Then rolled Alb/Gareth when they opened the server. A friend and I played a Reaver/Heretic duo. Was a lot of fun hanging around bridges and fighting other small groups/stealthers. Then Mythic cracked down on radar and the supposed leet gank groups resorted to bridge humping because they couldn't see the zergs coming in the open field anymore.

Each side has 4 classes, so there is 8 total. They fit your typical MMO roles such as tank and healer, but they all branch off into 2 different subclasses. For example, the Smuggler is DPS, but can open up a skill tree for stealth and medicine under Scoundrel instead of getting more DPS under Gunslinger. No matter what, all classes have a decent mix of abilities.

Each side has 2 force users, a combat focused one for melee and a ranged one with crowd control and heals. Think of the 8 class number as you did the 3 classes in Dragon Age: Origins. The 8 classes branch into at least 16 different builds, that's not counting how you spend your skill points within the build. It's deeper than it looks, the info is out there if you look for it.

So far we only have 7 planets confirmed, but it looks like we'll see 10 at minimum. All we know about them is that the classes start on 4 different ones. Nal Hutta, Ord Mantell, Korriban and Tython. We know that Balmorra and Coruscant are sided with factions, but Alderaan is being fought over.

    • I would say the extremes from both camps in these conversations have to do with the blurring of the fact Bryce is a first overall pick and the expectations for that draft slot fair or not far exceed just being a top 20-25 starter amongst your peers. Regardless. All logical Panthers fans want him to be the answer.
    • The offseason is always when hope springs eternal. If you look past that, you can see a very bad roster with a lot more questions than definitive answers. Let's hope we get a lot of those right, because I think we are a lot closer to another impatient Tepper reset than we probably think.
    • These arguments are getting more and more disingenuous from both the pro and anti Bryce crowd. Bryce looked very good for stretches down the final 8 games. He finally showed glimpses of the guy that was projected as a top QB pick in the draft. Bryce also didn't look like a top 10 NFL QB.  I think we are so far removed from Prime Cam that we forget what an elite QB looks like. I could tell that when people were losing their minds and simping for Sam Darnold. This season needs to finally showcase Bryce as a franchise talent. If that doesn't happen, it's time to pivot. There are very few recent examples of QB's struggling or being a mixed bag through the first three seasons of starting and then suddenly becoming frachise caliber players.
