M16 Panthers vs Seattle - without KB

So like the rest of you I'm bummed about KB and was thinking about how we might would do this season without him. So seeing as I have EA Access and the Madden 16 trial I decided to change our depth chart to reflect that and everything we've seen from preseason.

First i put KB at the lowest of lows on the depth chart so he wouldn't get in the game at all. The Wr order was as follows:

Funchess

Ginn Jr

Cory Brown

Cotchery

Bersin

I know that may and probably won't be the final depth chart order but that's what I came up with. Next was HB and I made J stew the starter with CAP and Todman backing him up.

I made our re rotation Addison Ealy and FrankFrank.

Last but not least Shaq starting beside TD and Keuchly.

Obviously if you've seen our ratings we didn't get a whole lot of love but its whatever it's still somewhat relevant in the madden world and more down to earth possible outlook on our team.. More of a low ball if anything.

So I put it on all pro and started a CPU game only of Carolina 80 ovr vs seattle 90 over. Grabbed some popcorn and let it ride. Now mind you the game was played in Charlotte.

What I saw made me very happy not only for the new madden but it also made me less worried about our season. It seriously looked like a game you'd see on Sunday.

Long story short we played great defense and you'd be surprised at how well our offense played. They ran the ball relentlessly and it was a 3 yards to 5 yards and a cloud of dust type game with the line and Stew carrying most of the load until BAM play action and Can hit Teddy Ginn on a long streak in perfect stride! 40 yd TD Panthers up 7-0 . The defense came out strong again and shut down the beast and Wilson who only managed one first down. Carolina would also be forced to punt and this continued for another series. Then we get the ball around the 20 and Stew gets it going again and then boom PA deep over the middle and Philly is off for another long TD. At this point its 14 - 0 and the half ends. The panthers would go in for yet another score in the 3rd and then Seattle finally went down the field in garbage time and scored off a 6 yard pass to jimmy graham. Carolina wins 21 - 7 .

There was a few greatly timed Cam scrambles and Russell Wilson got in on that too but at the end of the day they literally got their dicks kicked in.

I know a lot of you aren't going to give two fugs but it was a great game to watch and the game played super well.

If any of you are interested in watching a rematch game on twitch just let me know and I'll see if I can get it setup so the rest of you can watch too.

Madden is the same as last year graphics wise and all but the WR catches are some NFL blitz type poo. Sad thing KB is a monster on there because big WR just jump over the CBs..

Greg Olsen dropped everything after a hit.. Could not run at all.. Got ran all over by Dallas 5 yards at a time ad Romo missed only one pass. Same feel as last madden to me.. the settings have the opposing QB with super accuracy..

One reason could def be I suck but Ive had madden since about 98 every year...

    • I watched a clip of all the offensive snaps. Young threw into some tight coverage and the guys made some plays on the ball. He also really missed some throws.  He has this middle of the field thing into a tight window pretty good and made three or four nice plays but he was just too inconsistent with his accuracy especially in the red zone. Today and in general.    That Int where people were chastising Legette for ‘not fighting through the coverage’, he in no way could have gotten to that ball. IMO. I think he thought it was going to hit the ground and didn’t see the defender coming for it. But not sure what he could have done. The camera doesn’t show the spatial relationship very well, I think the ball was way off. maybe 6 feet or more off target to the inside of the field.  Rico is a beast. And a very good receiver.   That was my impression without dissecting and rewinding, just letting the video roll. I did rewind the int two or three times to look at that one.
    • My biggest issue with keeping Darnold, which I felt we should have done, is we would still have Fitterer. And everything that came with that.  I think Morgan is going to be good.  Baker, just did not play well at all here. Not sure what else we were supposed to take away from it at the time.  That’s my short ‘I don’t want to argue about it’ take.
    • Even if we somehow make the playoffs we will be one and done so fast. Seattle, Rams, TB, Panthers, Detroit and Philly are all better than us.
