Wtf somebody post this

Ok, so Michelle Tafoya walked onto the set and was talking about how she and JNo rode horses together last week and TD said that he had watched it. TD then with his hands in his pockets looked visibly upset about it, and said how the entire Defenseas a Unit asked Josh not to ride during the season because it was too risky, and that Josh had ignored their requests. He said that Josh just doesn't understand how important that he is to what they're trying to do as a unit. Josh tried to laugh it off, there was an uncomfortable silence and TD was visibly ticked about it.

It almost seemed as though they should have dapped up showing that it was all good, but they never did.

It was more of what TD didn't say and how he said what he did say. Just a really uncomfortable scene, to which Michelle said, oh, I didn't mean to bring up a sore subject.

I could very well be looking too much into it, but it seemed as though there was a disconnect and one wouldn't think that there would be on a defense and team that's 11-0.

hope that cleared it up for u, when u see it what I'm saying will make sense. Not a big deal in the grand scheme this year.

Who said it's not? Of course it helps, but offense still has to convert and score (something we havn't done in years past). Our offense is ranked so highly because Cam has finally mastered Shula's offense and we actually have a legit O-line now. SAS was talking like we just suck on offense and can't move the ball without the defense's help, which is so not true if he watched our offense have 4 80 yard drives against Seattle (and other games). Fact remains, our defense, offense, and special teams compliment each other so well that none of them are weaknesses like SAS was alluding to.

Yup.  I have watched them go 80 plus on anyone all year.  Steven A needs some new material.  I know its his job to be a jackass.  The defense obvioulsy helps but have not been carrying them all year.

He explained this yesterday and it''s something I've been saying for awhile. Our offense is ranked so highly because of all the turnovers our defense forces that gives our offense excellent field position. We are one of the top ranked teams in average field position to start a drive and that has helped us average 30 points a game. Offense is still solid either way, but to act like defense isn't a big part of those 30 ppg is foolish.

Only 28 of the 103 points we've scored off of turnovers have been directly scored by defense (4 pick 6s), so while, yes, the defense has set us up with beautiful field position with our 28 takeaways, the offense is still the ones putting the points on the board.  Look at Denver by comparison.  19 takeaways, but only 47 points scored off of them..

Was just going to post this.

I saw SAS talk about this yesterday and today.

He sees the defense have a great turnover day, and he looks at total passing yard so makes a reactionary reach on the offense because secretly he doubts the Panther receivers.

However, if he'd watch the games, he'd know they're several Panther games where the offense carries the defense. And overall, the offense (particularly the passing game) can rest as the run game cleans up the destruction they left earlier, which effects their total yards.

It's kinda like Steph Curry last year when he won the MVP. A lot of people in the press knew his stats weren't as good as Harden's (this is one of the reasons, he has such an increase this year; placing him in MVP, as well as Most Improved Player Talk in some circles)). However, his advocates compensated for his stats last year with the rest the warriors offense received due to blow outs.

Well, how come these dolts don't notice the same for Cam and the offense? They have the ability to score, and they do. However, due to their efficiency (and larger leads), they don't waste many opportunities, thus their yards aren't as high.

Also the past few weeks we have been blowing people out so bad cam basically stops playing halfway through the 3rd.

Exactly. Here's the thing, I wouldn't have any problem with SAS's take if he actually based his argument on relevant statistics. But he just goes to the box score and sees low passing numbers and tries to create a narrative that our passing game can't get it done (totally leaving out our scheme, number of plays we get off, situational football, and our style of play). Hello, we are the #3 ranked rushing team, of course we aren't going to have monster passing numbers (which usually doesn't amount to wins anyway).

Lik you and FootballMaestro said, we've had such big leads the past 3 weeks that we lean on our #3 rushing attack in the 2nd half. And throughout this year, our passing offense has bailed our defense out when they started slow, just like our defense has bailed our offense out when they started slow. It's just the perfect complimentary football. I'm just tired of the same bullsh*t narrative without any context.
