Interesting postgame observation by Brown: Whenever Smith moves inside to slot receiver,, it's a sure thing Delhomme will throw to him.

Is it any wonder he had two picks against us? How can we be so predictable? It reminds me of last year when the Cardinals said they knew they could move Fitzgerald around in formations and we wouldn't adjust......Or what about the pooch punt that was returned for a touchdown because that team (I don't remember who) said they we sure Fox was going to try that and they were ready for it?

To be fair, it's not only when he slides into the slot that Jake throws it his way. He throws it to #89 when he's lined up tight and runs a fly route while triple covered. He throws to #89 when a defender gives him a large cushion. He throws it to #89 when a defender presses him at the line. He throws it to #89 when the tight ends are wide open and Smith is absolutely draped with defenders. He throws it to #89 when he's standing on the sidelines.

It's somewhat interesting, but the notion that the Panthers are easier to read than a kids picture book isn't exactly new information.

+1.

Every season teams comment in victory and defeat that they know what Fox is doing before he does it.

i saw that.

i'm glad that he pointed that out. it was pretty helpful.

let's see what the team does with this.

I'm sure you and every other Panthers' fan knows what the team will do with it....NOTHING. And that's the problem. Fox absolutely refuses to change the gameplan to be less predictable.

i expect a minor tweak. if they get lucky the next couple weeks they will chalk it up as a successful tweak.

IMO the New QB coach has failed horribly. We are doing things we did last year and its obvious teams are keying in on it. What has he changed in any of our 3 QBs? Everyone knew Delhomme lost his confidants in the AZ game and he even said it bothered him. So its the coaches Job to get him out of the funk and they have NOT. When Passes are over or under thrown its Mechanics and thats the coaches Job to fix. Also why Kenny Moore didnt replace Moose on some downs is beyond me. We came out as Vanilla as the preseason.

I don't know, razyor, the Cards talked about how predictable we were 9 months ago, and yet here we are at the beginning of a new season, and it's deja vu. Not sure how much more we can be called out by our opponents on our gameplanning before Fox realizes that he's needed to "tweak" things for a while now. We can only hope.

    • I wouldn’t be surprised if the Pats win it all or at least get there. Maye is awesome.
    • Young quarterbacks Drake Maye, Bo Nix, and Bryce Young have led their teams to undefeated records since October.   Drake Maye has guided the New England Patriots to a 5-0 record in that period, with 2,285 passing yards and 17 touchdowns in nine games. Bo Nix has directed the Denver Broncos to a 5-0 stretch, throwing for 1,976 yards and 17 touchdowns, contributing to a 7-2 overall start. Bryce Young, in his second season, has led the Carolina Panthers to a 4-0 run since October, accumulating 1,390 yards and 11 touchdowns amid a 4-4 record.   Undefeated QBs since start of October (min. 4 starts)   Drake Maye 5-0 Bo Nix 5-0 Bryce Young 4-0   Bryce Young when asked about his mindset during game winning drives: "You don’t rise to the occasion you fall back to the level of your training."
    • 1. Cowboys-No explanation needed. 2. Rest of NFC South equally. If I had to pick I would say Falcons.    3. Eagles- Both of the games I have attended there the fans were so horrible. The fan base is so ridiculously misbehaved, I’ve never seen such immaturity. 4- Lions- I have cousins in Michigan that grew up Lions fans and they are some of the most obnoxious people I have ever met, as are all of their Lions buddies. The NFL has been lucky that Detroit has been in the cellar for its eternity.    5. Tie between Bears and Vikings. Both act like Steelers, Cowboys, Niners fans do with nostalgia and legendary seasons but neither have ever really had them. They act like they each won 5 super bowls in previous decades but never accomplished poo outside of Chicago in 85.
