I seem to remember some pretty eye-opening stats from last season about our W-L record with Tolbert playing vs. when he was injured and not playing.  It was a HUGE contrast.  I know people weren't quite sure how much he was a factor in the late-season resurgence.  There were a lot of other changes at that time too.  But I think now, looking back, you have to think his return from injury late last season was a big part of our turn around.

I'm pretty sure Tolbert is leading all fullbacks in the probowl voting.

He's made pro-bowl once before, hasn't he?

Pro Bowl and First Team All-Pro in 2013...scary thing is that he's looking better now than he did in 2013.

Hope we can get a few more good seasons out of him...EVERY all-Pro player is a cornerstone and core player for their respective teams.

Kalil and CJ's contracts need to be restructured.

Star and Norman need to get their contracts done as well.

Jesus, so many numbers.

I was a bit flippant in my first reply... sorry about that!

Yes, I realize the tables I'm dumping here are a lot of numbers - the drive data is pretty "raw."  Lots of information, no analysis.

I figure some will want to see it.  Since I have it, might as well post it / share it.

But, I know it's definitely eye-glazing to many.  Once I finish looking at the red zone drives for weeks 9 - 12, I'll try to post a less numeric summary... key points, maybe a graph or two of interesting trends.  I'll see what time permits.

I'll be offline all day tomorrow, so won't be able to get back to this until Saturday sometime.

It's going to be a sad day, once someone hires KB and it takes away her forum time.

My two biggest issues with Shula where play calling once he crossed the 50 and red zone. He's no longer losing his balls once they cross the 50 and scoring points(should had never been a issue with cam, stew,Tolbert,Olsen,kb) . Happy its all working.

Oh hell no. Your stats are amazing, and lots of numbers isn't a bad thing at all. I'm glad you do this for all of us, and have more patience to comb through this than anyone. I like the info, I like using the info... but gathering the info? Not so much. Which is perfect that you don't mind getting it all together, and I think it's great the way it is.

Keep up the good work man, it's very, very much appreciated and interesting to read!

    • I read the entire article.   Seam routes are great against a single high safety because they have to make a decision.  They can be high risk, high reward play but they are a staple in nearly every NFL game.  Just because they are tight windows doesn't make them hospital balls. The biggest takeaway from that whole article was this is football.  You're going to get hit.  You can get lit up on any play.  QB tries the best he can to judge the distance but the structure of the play is going to get you hit and that safety can run down hill.   Here is one to Sanders, from the same game, who slows down slightly and puts himself in a better position to make the catch without getting lit up.  Hunter ran full tilt and jumped.  No fear running that route which is what Grok recommends.
    • Wanted to give a quick shout out to those of y'all participating in the discussion in good faith. It's been a nice change of pace for some of us fans to combine our knowledge and try to figure things out rather than just looking for a scapegoat to blow off some steam. ♡
    • You don't throw high over the middle, unless your Bryce then it's okay and it's the recievers fault. Plus Sanders is 6'4" 250 and Renfrow is 5'10" 180
