Congrats to Geoff Handgartner. He played great for Buffalo lastnight.

Do you think our O-Lineman we lost this year maybe pushed our starters to play better last year?

Possibly, our OLine play has fallen off terribly so far in preseason and week 1 compared to late last year. It could just be that we've faced 5 tough defenses, Giants, Dolphins, Ravens, Steelers and Eagles.

And before anyone brings up Peppers' cap hit, Hangartner would've left regardless. It wasn't solely the money, he wanted a chance to start.

I was impressed with how well he played against Vince Wilfork. It will be interesting to see how he does against Kris Jenkins.

Well, he used to stonewall Jenkins in practice. If last night was any indicator he will have a very strong year.

Too bad they have a puss for a QB that is afraid to throw to his WR's.

That was more about the Pats' coverage than him "being a puss".

Nah, he could have done the same a Brady and hit 12-20 yard patterns. Trent is known as 'Captain Checkdown' has been his entire career including college. Hell Jim Kelly called him out on in this preseason saying he needed to hold the ball a second or two longer and get the ball down the field. Jaws and Gruden were even ripping on him about not taking chances when he had single coverage. You have TO and Evans singled up, you throw them the ball.

Buffalo won't do anything this year.

    • Yeah that's sad.  I couldn't believe it.
    • It would depend on how we lost... If we lose a bunch of 17-13 . 20-7 type games where the defense plays well and offensively Bryce is sh***TING the bed...then he wouldn't get fired.  If we are losing 40-9, 38-14 type games..then yeah it's a possibility.   Couple that with our tough schedule.. if we show well in lets say half those games.. win either Seattle or New England game, at least 1 win vs division oponents.. he's good.  So imo.. to get fired he needs to : Loose badly against the top tier teams ie Blown out Show no progress offensively from last year. Show an unwillingness to bench Bryce again if he is horrible over multiple games ..  Get swept by the Saints again.
    • I think he's gone, and rightfully so, if he turns in another losing record. The "talented roster," regardless of how true or not, is a double-edged sword. If the roster is so much improved now from 202X then why are you still producing losing seasons? On one hand, maybe that's what needs to happen. Have the GM hire the new coach, and then have the new coach pick his guy to run his system. That is typically how it works in the NFL. Not the forced inheritance deal we have had in place.
