It's probably the perceived lack of fire why he was never hired. Oh well, now he's a controlled wildfire, and there ain't enough cold rain and snow to stop it.

Ron's definitely got his flaws, but he's got plenty of positives too, the biggest of which for me is that his players will run through a brick wall for him.

Agreed, he does seem beloved in the locker room.

One thing that I remember him saying that is probably a good idea for younger coaches: Something like, "I wish I had hired a previous HC to be on my staff when I first got here".  Could have possibly helped smooth out those growing pains.

If nothing else, it would've helped with clock management. He was horrid with that. I think it got better once Skipper came back, he had always helped Fox with that.
