because he's not an MMA fighter, he's a streetfighter. if he does well it delegitimizes the 'mixed' part and the idea that you have to have a well-rounded game to win.

What about champion era Chuck? Strikes, a few kicks, and takedown defense was all he had.

Chuck could probably out wrestle quite a few UFC fighters. He was a wrestler in college he just used his wrestling ability to defend against take downs instead of taking other people to the ground.

it was a different era when Chuck started MMA. when he first entered the UFC they told him if he wrestled too much he would never fight in the UFC again because it was boring.

so he adapted his style to striking. he started out as a wrestler, like redmage said.

    • I think in all honestly, the final 2 games are carrying most of the weight in a lot of Bryce talk IMO.    During the window where he "blew it out of the water" window......were a lot of games where he was not above average.  AZ is largely one of those stat sheet games.   Where the stat sheet reflects QB play that didn't exist in the game.  That game was all Chuba.  Meh vs Dallas.  Meh vs Philly.  Meh vs Giants.  Probably average vs Tampa, Den, Saints.  Bryce made HUGE strides vs what he was.  We should be happy.   But when you start comparing him to the rest of the league.....people I think are going too far.  His best aspect in reality.....is his scrambling.  And that's probably not a great thing give his size.
    • Mays and Zavala looked lost in the Reich offense.  Granted Zalava was probably playing too soon due to injuries but he looked terrible.  This new staff seems to be doing well with our OL.  I also wonder if having two vets in Hunt and Lewis just made life that much easier on whoever was/is playing center.
    • What the Panthers should target in order (via free agency or via trade): 1. Julian Blackmon  2. Mike Hilton 3. Jaire Alexander 4. Jalen Ramsey
