I don't care what you want. Cam pretty much quit on the team and that is the opposite of what I want in a QB.

You forgot, without Cam we dont make it to the superbowl. If 1 play determines your fanhood, you arent a  real fan. I know plenty of QB's that have had bad performances in the superbowl. The current winner, had 2 stinkers himself.

Dude I have Newton jerseys, cards, and used to have a McFarlane statue of him. I've defended him pretty hard until that poo show at the Super Bowl. It's not even the on the field poo show that still angers me. It's his complete lack of maturity towards his teammates and towards the fans.

His teammates rave about him, have you ever heard them speak ill or disapprove.? How many fans have gotten footballs. How many fans have been entertained to watch him? I never saw Newton disrespect a panther fan. If you're  not in the locker room or cant read his mind, then you are just talking out your ass.

Lol because he gives footballs away that is supposed to excuse him for acting like a child? He literally acted like a baby if you watch the Super Bowl VFX videos. When he started losing he shutdown and started pouting. Luke and TD were trying to rally the troops and were even trying to rally Cam. The QB should not be getting words of encouragement from a fuging linebacker.

Then he tells the fans they'll be back. He takes absolutely no ownership over the loss. He only tells the fans that the team will return. I for one find that hard to believe since I waited 12 years to see another one after the last time. Then he claims the trophy he wanted most was Super Bowl MVP. He didn't want just the lombardi, he was upset that he himself didn't win the MVP. Things like that show true colors and makes me suspicious.

The truth is that half of this fanbase isn't even Panther fans anymore; they're Cam Newton fans. Dare question their golden boy and you'll be chased with pitchforks and called a racist for absolutely zero reason. You can't tell me that if Jonathan Stewart had 2 turnovers for 14 points then acted that certain way after the game, people wouldn't be calling for his head. All I wanted from Cam was accountability.

Ive said my piece you had said yours. I will always defend Cam. I have been a fan since our announcement in 93. Without Cam, we stay in the dark ages like the Clausen years. Ill take the good with the bad.

His press conferences are horrible? Um, I must have been watching a different person from Newton in all those press conferences throughout the 2015 season, because that guy was handling things exceptionally.

One press conference merely distraught about the biggest loss of his career does not outweigh all the good ones where he clearly made progress.

Besides, if you apparently put so much stock into one press conference where he had the gall to be upset about losing the Super Bowl, what do you think of him smiling, and being nothing but kind/classy to Peyton Manning, a fellow competitor, immediately after the game?

Everyone is entitled to an opinion

...and I never said that one press Conf outweighed all the good  and those of us in this market know the good  the rest of the NFL world doesn't, and it was not a good first look  on the field, for the Panthers players, coaches or the press Conf with Newton

it will be interesting to see what Jerry's opinion is as shown by Cam's demeanor next year.  Jerry 's opinion matters

In Cam 2nd press conference, the team seemed to very well have Cam back so what's your problem. Quit? Man Cam put his body as a QB on the line each and every Sunday, you crazy man. Even still, he wasn't the reason we lost that game

Of course. But I think you are confusing your own opinion, and that of some idiot fans/attention whores in the media, with that of our staff/ownership.

If we didn't hear about something from Jerry Richardson after the press conferences in 2012 where the media, and some of our own fans nearly had aneurysms over Newton's "body language", and "demeanor", do you really think we are going to hear something now just because Newton was upset about losing the Super Bowl?

If Jerry is concerned about anything, it's the on field performance from our entire team in general in that Super Bowl. Our players should have performed better, Cam included, period. We know it, the players know it, our coaches know it, and our owner knows it. In the grand scheme of things, they don't give a damn about press conferences, they want results on the field. Newton clearly delivered on the field for our team throughout the season, which is why he was honored as the MVP, and those contributions were a big reason why the team ended up in the Super Bowl in the first place. That's all that really needs to be said.

If you're so hellbent on being overly concerned about press conferences, that's your choice, but the organization has more pressing matters to deal with.

I personally don't think Cam could have performed any better. All that needed to win the game was for Cotchery to have catch both of those balls or even just one. I won't even mention Remmers and Ginn.

Not sure why you're quoting me. I know what your shtick is. It's funny on occasion, that's about it.

Regardless, yes, Newton could have played better. I'm sure even he would tell you that. It happens. Does that mean that he did not play well at all? No. Which is why I specifically mentioned the team as a whole. It's a group effort, he wasn't the only one who struggled at times. Our OL was not up to par, period, and guys who don't normally fumble were turning the ball over at the worst time, shifting momentum substantially. With a better group performance from our offense, we could have, and should have won it. I don't give a fug about a press conference, from any of our players. I care that our franchise didn't bring home the Lombardi Trophy, and that's why Newton was upset, and I would much rather have a QB like that who literally hates to lose versus an "aw shucks" type of guy who just acts like losing is routine.

Lol if you don't think Luke isn't the true leader you didn't watch the VFX videos. Luke was passionate and encouraging everyone. Running up and down the sidelines being an actual leader. Cam did nothing but mope the entire time. I guess he was sad that after he fumbled there was no way he was getting that "super bowl mvp" he dreamed of.

If you think Luke was the problem you're crazy. The team also won last year when Cam was out. Luke also didn't single handedly give the Broncos 14 points. This isn't a Cam Newton fan forum, it's a Carolina Panthers one. He didn't cut the mustard and he deserves to b called out for it.

What about all the dropped passes (especially the pass dropped by Ginn in the redzone that fell right into Wards hands..we would have been at the five by the way) what about the missed fg, the fumble by Tolbert after a big gain and momentum, the failed punt coverage, the horrible trick play call, running on first down everyone...was all that cams fault?

How the hell can you speak about how he acts towards his teammates when you've never been on the sideline or locker room?

You you dudes kill me talking so stupid and what the media feeds y'all.
