Jared Allen's post-retirement commentary on Panthers Locker Room

This is the kind of thing that I'm reminded of whenever someone suggests we should sign some problem child that just got released from wherever. The logic that often gets used is "our locker room is strong enough to handle a guy like that".

The problem with this argument is that it avoids a basic truth. Specifically that one of the big reasons our locker room is so strong is because we stay away from guys who are known to be locker room problems.

Allen obviously saw the difference.

All Gettleman.

remember when he first came in one of his first interviews.  he mentioned that one of his first top priorities is building that locker room winning culture by grabbing guys who hate losing more than they like winning.

Agree it's Gettleman who gets the right players, but the daily maintenance of that culture is Rivera's responsibility.

I'd say Riverboat deserves an awful lot of credit as well.
