Fair point.  Then again his comments about all the hell he caught over tagging Hardy after the domestic violence stuff was brought up suggest certain points weigh with him.

I believe that anything that weighed on him regarding Hardy came from ownership. He doesn't have to answer to the fans at all.

He mentioned it in his presser post draft when asked about Worley and the domestic issues, but he did not linger upon it very long, more or less mentioned something to the tune of "after 2014 do you think I am that stupid" or something close to that.  Having said that I do agree ownership was under fire and JR was really the face of the team when that was handled with the media.  Bigger picture I agree with others on here he doesnt care much about the outside noise, as he puts it.

The continuity of our coaching staff has been a blessing

This was exactly what I kept telling folks when everyone wanted to can Rivera and then Shula. Continuity is very underrated in the NFL as everyone wants the newest hottest coaching prospect. But continuity builds success and allows you to compete every year.

Here is a good article on the Cox subject.  Eskin in Philly recently came out and said that Cox and agent had turned down $60 million in guarantee's.  Cox's agent went on the radio to say BS.

Neither Cox or Short are going to get Suh money but they will probably better the 6 year, $95 mil, $60 mill guarantee that Dareus signed last fall.

damn that's some cash, I'm assuming we'll front load the fug out of it

    • Basically agree.  He is the one of that bunch that offers upgraded pass catching along with he is supposed to be kind of special.   Then you have the OL and the ideas that if they perform you can have JAG backs and still do well. So okay we could be fine.  But Brooks is important and to me that receiving element sets him apart.  So there sure is something riding on him.     What strikes me as incongruent is people over in Atlanta or those that follow them look at Penix with a third surgery and act like it is no big deal.      And we are on pins and needles over Brooks.  Either they should worry a lot more or we should worry a lot less.
    • I usually go a game or two optimist over the consensus here but this is too early for me to say. I need to see some players on the field.  I am not feeling real optimistic though.
    • Okay as a ‘take CJ’ fan I actually don’t obsess over CJ and Houston, contrary to the narrative.  But I thought I picked up some noise that his OL left a lot to be desired.    Not a single Beyce supporter would judge him harshly if he had a crappy OL. We all know that.    So be fair about it.  A QB needs to be protected.  Especially a guy that gets to his spot and wants to finish the play from there. Which CJ is.
