One of television's most well-known shows, "60 Minutes," will feature Cam Newton, the Auburn legend and current quarterback of the NFL's Carolina Panthers, in an upcoming episode.

The news was Tweeted out by a Twitter account affiliated with Newton. It has since been confirmed by 247Sports.

Per Cory Fravel of 247Sports, at least some recording for the segment will take place Friday, when the show's production team will be at North Cobb High north of Atlanta. Well-known television journalist James Brown is the "60 Minutes" reporter assigned to the story, we've learned.
