"Trade discussions ongoing"?

So i know the reports were saying that our deal couldn't be made official until July 1st and that we had to move someone clear cap room to even make it happen, but this just seems awkward.

Could we maybe getting cold feet?  I wouldn't think it would be good business to back out of an agreed upon deal, but maybe we thought it over again and now we're considering keeping the pick?

Probably means until the trade is able to be official in July they don't want to say that it's official.

Yeah, technically a trade can't be finalized yet, so they have to add the disclaimer.

If you watched Cho's press conference it was basically the same thing. He can't comment on anything until the trade is finalized.

Yea I don't think it means much honestly.

We were never strongly pursuing the guy so it would make zero sense to retain him.

Now a 3 team deal would peak interest, but the the trade is just swatting approval.

Yeah, again, from what i read yesterday, we apparently have to clear space before completing the deal, so I'm sure they have to hammer out the details of that...  but, it just seemed unusual because in all of the years I've been a fan of basketball, I've never seen that phrase on a team's official draft releases.  Usually they just go with the whole "rights traded to" terminology.  So, it comes off as though he may or may not be moved.
