Any London Panthers Fans On Here?

Recommended Posts

I'll be in London in late October and looking for somewhere to watch the game against the Cardinals on the 30th. Are there any gatherings of fans to watch the games or even any specific bars that cater to NFL fans on Sunday evening?

The Deadskins/Bengals game is going on in Wembley that day and I'm also up for berating some Deadskins fans before our game starts, something to get the juices flow. Their fans really seemed to enjoy my group's "you like that" chant back in November after we made them go get their switch off the tree.

Funny you should ask.....I'm working on putting together a meet-up with all of our Roaring Riot UK members that weekend. We're looking to do something that Saturday at the NFL events and then something in the morning before the Wembley game. Then whoever can manage it will stay out for the Panthers game that night. We're just nailing down final details now, actually.

Hello.

I've not found any regular spots dedicated to just the Panthers (not counting my living room on every Sunday from August through Feb). But there are a few bars that show the 2 or 3 games that are on Sky every week. Depends which week you're down and which games are on TV. Alternatively if RR can sort out a game that weekend I'll be sure to pop down.

Then it will definitely be on Sky, most Sports bars will have it on. I can help you find a good one in central London if you want to organise a takeover.

Would love to hear some suggestions. Someone mentioned the Hippodome was a good place to watch games. Plus all the other fun (if you're into that)

Also....don't must pubs close early on Sundays?

    • damn I wish somebody would sign him. This has been going on for weeks.    I think if the team wanted to sign him we probably would have heard something about interest on our part.    Or any TE. It looks like they have set that room. And we have taken guys two years running, a guy like this would be blocking them. We need to see if they have it or not. And we should see if Tremble is gonna ever do anything.      In general, with the TEs
    • Dude, there aren’t rose colored glasses big enough for you to call this “not a bad draft.” BC was not a good pick. He was taken with the 6th pick in round 3 and he’s been a backup OL. Tremble also wasn’t a win. Another 3rd rounder who’s easily replaced. Only reason either of them started games is because of injuries or a lack of a better starter. Chuba’s got heart but he’s had one solid year behind a solid run blocking unit. Other than that he’s underwhelmed and like we saw with Dowdle and Foreman, it’s not hard to find cheap pickups who perform as well. Horn has been a good starter but honestly that draft had so many solid starters we could have taken. With as many picks as we had, him and Chuba is absolutely a bad draft. We needed OL and BC and Brown was a terrible effort. You clearly didn’t watch the Senior Bowl if you thought Brown had a chance in the NFL. The huddle draft folks wanted Humphrey and Smith and instead we got crap and Mahomes was the winner.
    • you are one of the few huddlers I've met in person! Beelman's pub during the 2015 playoff / superbowl run LA RR chapter 🍻
