I was under the impression that rules for practice squad eligibility had been changed for this season to allow an individual with more than 2 accrued seasons, but was not sure of the specifics.  It was brought up in the discussions of Bersin still being practice squad eligible due to the rule changes.

I do apologize for feeding the trolls, however always want to be optimistic about this training staff and their abilities to mold players.  We currently do not have a backup to Stewart with the same body style (bruising back) and is a position I would like to see us fill.  Tolbert somewhat fits that role, but not completely.

They did change the rules, but Trent Richardson has at least 3 accrued seasons. Which would be over the limit.

As to your second point, I think CAP will surprise you. He can be a bruising runner. As an Auburn fan, I watched him play every game his last year. Not only does he hit the hole quickly, but he is more than able to run over DBs and some linebackers. With him backing up Stewart, there is no need to bring in Trent Richardson.

NO, I am a fan of the Carolina Panthers, and do not want to see them bring in a certified draft bust. I am also a football fan, and can clearly see that Trent Richardson is not a victim of poor teams, he is a victim of his lack of ability to play football at the professional level.

you really dont think he can play????

man watch that guy run....its a mean nasty type of run......

Your justification because he was with lousy teams doesn't float either.  He is in training camp and even the UDFA are performing better than him.

We are not getting rid of CAP or Wegher.  I think Atlanta let S. Jackson go so let him go there.

Trent,

You should really be talking to your agents. Not fans on a message board. I understand that you don't have anything to do right now, but studying game film, and trying to figure out how to see that the hole is over there, and not where you are running, is a better use of your time.

Sincerely,

Everyone

If you are not Trent, the for the love of God, give it up.

Post me a highlight please. From the NFL not college. Then I will stop. But it has to be a run longer than 40 yards for a TD. Even a preseason game would be fine.

    • We don't have to tear down Dak to appreciate what Bryce did yesterday. Dak had 0 running game. If the cowboys were better, he'd be a legit MVP candidate if he keeps playing this way.  They did it with Ceedee last year, but they do a better job of anybody we play consistently of getting their best receiver off Jaycee.  Bryce was good too. If we just catch the ball that was intercepted, we probably win by 7+, and Bryce goes over 200 yards passing.  Biggest shift the last few weeks has been play calling. I thought Canales abandoned the run game way to early at times last year. This year he really seems to be sticking with it.  I still think Chuba is better at making 4 yards when there's nothing there, but Rico is better at making 30 yards when there's 6 there. I like the direction. Hopefully we can get Moton, Sanders and Coker back and really be dangerous. Our play action game is pretty deadly right now.  Unrelated: My favorite quality about Bryce right now is his ability to see the defensive hold and throw the ball there. He EXPOSES the officials when they don't call it. That one on Tetaroia yesterday late in the game was a bad miss on their part.
    • That sacks allowed number lookin juicy!
    • This is a game the Panthers should win... just the sort of game they lose. The Panthers have a bad habit that goes back years of playing down to the competition's level only to mess around and lose the game. The Jets game should be taken very seriously! But I want to enjoy the fact that they beat the Cowboys for at least another day or so!
