I actually love this..

Rugby style punts bouncing everywhere so Sproles or whoever has game changing moments (more than a few has happened to us).

Plus you run into that guy....... bruh. More ability to fake punt..  IM ALL IN WALLLLLLACEEEEEE IS FREEEEEDOM

Carolina is way too conservative to ever consider that.

The only problem is that the blocking for a rugby style punter is completely different. They typically step to one side  instead of straight ahead. There is a reason every NFL team doesn't run out and recruit rugby players to punt.

But other than that, it would be coll to see someone the size of a DE back there punting.

.. rugby players to punt.

fug that grinds my gears.

It's a "drop punt" and it has basically nothing to do with rugby. Also, a guy who played Aussie Rules for about 4 years is not going to be able to punt well enough.

This is like someone telling you that The Ottawa Redblacks are the best professional football team in North America.

However, moving on.

What you are talking about is something similar to the way Tom Hackett punted for Utah last year where he won the Ray Guy award and it's basically useless in the NFL because of rule differences:

...

If you're interested this is rugby:

And this is the vastly superior game of Aussie Rules:

Or if you want actual game footage I just now stumbled on this final 15 minutes of my team (the Browns of the AFL) beating a team of drug cheats who went from 8-1 to then after this loss missing the finals (first team to do so since we did it in 1971).

This (our 2nd of 4 wins for the year where we were tanking for #1 draft pick) was a fuging great game:

Apologies for the commentators; bunch of galahs.

On second thoughts, maybe a game with a bit more skill involved. A highlight package of our most recent win:

    • Very True--and I am a former HS English teacher.
    • Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
