Rivera was mad because the question implied Luke might have had an injury they didn't report or check him out for in the midst of the NFL investigation into whether or not the Panthers handled Cam's potential head injury correctly.

Ahh thanks.  Reading the thread I was like "so?" But this context explains it.

It's been confirmed, it was ESPN journalist David Newton, who is the official Carolina Panthers writer...just in case you didn't know. If you'll read his articles, which I have since he joined back in '13, you can almost tell he is NOT a Carolina Panthers fan at all. Just doing his job; write about the Panthers and that's it. Likes to be more pessimistic than optimistic. Last week, after the Bronco's game, all he could write about was whether the Panthers executed the right concussion protocol and that's it. Is Cam hurt? Did Rivera do the right thing? Should Rivera run Cam so much? I'm sure most of the players stay away from reading ESPN articles but after watching this video, looks like Ron reads David Newton's articles all the time.

Right. Someone did the same thing last year after Cam was hit in the head when we played the Aint's in New Orleans. Someone asked him multiple times if he was alright, Ron answered "Yes" once and refused to continue answering the exact same question.
