You like that " You do realize".

I most certainly do realize.

My problem is the perceived disrespect to the people that gave ALL of us our freedoms.

Black, white, yellow, red, brown men and woman that put it all on the line, and made the ultimate sacrifice.

If Cam feels the same as Kaep, I still love the hell out of him. I believe he is smarter than Kaep and will use a more unifying protest, as that's the point.

People could question Kaeps motivation, he picked a terrible way to unify, if as you said...

You do realize what these men went to fight for...equality, freedoms,...I can understand not standing when the country is not in the state that the peoplemail left it in.  Land of the freevents and home of the brave...Bravery is what Kaep and others are doing..some are losing money..they are keeping this at the forefront and not letting people forget about it...it is important don't  you think, but no bc it's not happening to you

You don't know s.h.i.t about what's important to me, my life experiences, or beliefs.

If change is the goal, what is he changing?

If he really wanted to make change, he has a platform. I haven't said he is wrong or that there is not relevance to the issue.

It's the delivery of the message, it sucks. His protest is divisive v. unifying. He could make a real difference if he wanted...

Rather than a meaningless divisive protest,

Intelligent conversation would be more openly accepted, that's my point. He could reach people and make a difference, unify people not divide them.

You rite I do not know was not just speaking directly to you but to anyone who reads and feels that it may not be appropriate...what better way to keep it in the thoughts during an NFL game the most watched sport in the nation..he his doing other things as well to support the cause not just this..Tell me how can you unify when most see nothing wrong ..it has to get recognition first to even to get people to comment on.He is getting attention for prole to debate..he is ruffling feathers..Most people don't  get involved until it starts to hit home or interfere with something they like.

Tell me why you feel it is not unifying people? What gives you this idea?

All the hate he is getting for it. People either strongly support or strongly oppose.

He could have used a different tactic that would not be so cut and dry, the people that oppose will never be open enough to consider his point because they so vehemently disagree with his selection of protest.

Same goes for the supporters, they will never be able to look at both sides because percieved injustice.

It would be more productive if he had chosen a different way to bring light to the issues.

Both sides have and will continue to dig in their heels. It's like drawing a line in the sand, nobody is willing to cross it because how he chose to approach the issue.

Another approach may have gotten the two sides to see that there are commonalities that could be built upon and unify our country to move forward together.

My stance is it will never go away only lye dormant not really dormant but not caught on camera or audio and published for the whole world to see...America thought we had gotten passed it and we haven't. It is a no winning situation. Just new age slavery, but I respect the people that are trying to close the gap in whatever form they choose as long as it is not violence. We have tried peaceful protest, and debates. Racism was here before I was born and will be here when I die..I just pray for my kids, friends, and relatives that we will not die from a result of it. Blacks are the most hated even within our own race. We are the only race that I know of that kills what prospers, instead of nourishing or being happy. We hate, stab each other in the back, steal, and kill each other. But in all I still love my black race.

This is the truth. I had this discussion some time ago. That is why I can respect and honor both sides. But if we can be real, whites take every opportunity to bring this up and a counter. I think Colin sitting and kneeling is genuine, but when he started with the fro it came off and disingenuous. I like what he's doing with his message and I like what Cam has always done with his. Racism will never go away, you're right. It's a learned behavior/emotion and is DEEPLY rooted in some people.

Even though I hate that as a race we have a tendency to derail each other...that does not mean that other races should do this..as I said in another post..this is a result of the slavery represented in America. House slaves v/s cotton slaves...This inferiority comes from the white slave owners who separated the race. It is deep rooted in us..light skin vs dark skin. White supremacy started with Indians, then to us. We adopted what the masters but in us. Just like racism is still here so is the division within our race.

Everything's the white man's fault. What a novel concept.

The strings were pulled early, I agree 1000000%. We were taught to be against one another. We have yet to figure out how to band together which is why much won't change. I don't care how many protests we participate in, as long as there's division amongst our own, nothing will change. I think its a cop out when white use it and flip it to make us out to be angry blacks who blame the man.
