Not sure what you're trying to get at here. Broncos and Vikings in the first 3 weeks. No good pass rushes since then. If we played Broncos and Vikings without Oher, wow that would be a bad day for Cam.

We pretty much did play the Vikings without Oher since that's when he got the concussion. Got to think that contributed to his turnstile day. Must have been pretty severe to still be out a month later. Hate to say it but retirement is a possibility if he doesn't get better soon.

yes we struggled against the two best pass rushing teams in the league, but since then there have only been 3 sacks. just saying that the pass blocking isn't even remotely as big of an issue as our pass rush.

Of course we have bigger issues. I still don't really think that Oher and Remmers/Williams needs to be improved that badly. That being said being without Oher, our best tackle, against Chandler Jones is concerning.

Your post was confusing. You addressed people complaining about Oher. Not sure if you mean people complaining that he's hurt or complaining about not improving on him by trading for one of the Joes. You went on to show sack stats with and without Oher, making it seem like you were saying we're better without Oher at tackle. If that's what your point was then I don't agree, based on who we played. Williams has been very good at RT and Remmers has struggled at left. Getting Oher back is very important, to either keep Williams at RT and make Rem the swing man or push Rem back to RT and improve LT tremendously either way.

While I agree that corners and pass rush and even our receivers have been bigger issues than the o-line, that doesn't mean that we can't want for Oher to come back sooner. It'll help the team as much as or more than getting Bradberry back, especially with Chandler Jones next up.

You're kind arguing against yourself here.

I would say they are both quite crucial at this point.

Having little to no pass rush sucks indeed, but your offensive tackles being so worthless to the point that you can't protect your quarterback in the pocket gives the opposing team an almost insurmountable advantage. We've seen it multiple times already this year. I still cannot fathom how we thought this wouldn't blow up in our face after watching Newton get destroyed behind this OL in SB50. Yeah yeah 15-1 with the same OL last season, but teams have figured it out since then, and the only thing that matters now is 1-5. It's ugly.

For everyone complaining about Oher,

We gave up 12 sacks in the first 3 weeks, and have only given up 3 since then. Which is when Oher went down.

I know everything is in doom and gloom mode right now but if we could all maybe try and bitch a little bit less or at least check stats before whining that would be great.

LOLZ, because we played 3 of the worst pass rushes in the NFL in the Saints, the Bucs, and the fuging Falcons.  I'm :dead:  And we still LOST ALL THREE!!!

The O-Line went against three of the worst pass rushes in the NFL.  Fully expect us to get destroyed this week.

I'm patiently waiting on Cam press conference

I'm the kind of person that if I know I can get to you, I'll continuously do it. I'll abruptly end this one early too, but I'm an asshole and a serious troll

LOL I was thinking this. I'd purposely come with a fake attitude and leave here too, just to show that I'm consistent and my asshole skills are superb.

He played every snap that game and didn't show symptoms until the following Friday. We don't have any clue when he got the concussion. People keep pointing to the safety but nobody has any clue whatsoever when he got the concussion. It most likely wasn't that play. May have been that game, may have been in practice after the game. You have no idea. Neither do I. The doctors likely don't even know. Protocol is what it is and sometimes it takes time. Luke was out this long, why didn't he retire?

FWIW - I've been told Cam's in a very good spot mentally - not talking about concussion - just overall attitude right now.

Well nobody on the team or around the team should have a good football attitude right now considering we entered the bye 1-5.

Disagree completely - without a good attitude there's no chance at all of them turning it around. They can be unhappy with their performance, but in a good place mentally.

    • Was just reading the Ask the Old Guy story on the team's website and was shocked to see that only two 2nd Rounders have signed so far, 30 of them haven't. That isn't normal, the Texans really screwed things up for the rest of the league, no other explanation that I can think of for 30 of the 32 picks to still be unsigned at this point.
    • They need to address CB before season starts. This is not going to cut it.
    • Except it wouldn't be Rodgers leading them on a postseason run, it would be the defense and he's there to not screw up their great games. Which is why..... This times a million. I didn't watch a ton of the Jets last year, but from what I did see, Rodgers himself didn't look like a bum, the team just struggled and was more than likely due to poor coaching on the whole.  The Steelers don't need MVP level Rodgers to win games, they just need him to be good enough to make some plays when it matters because the defense is keeping them in games every week regardless. In their 7 losses last season, the Steelers scored 10, 13, 17, 17, 17, 19, and 24... while giving up 19, 20, 24, 27, 27, 29, and 34 in those games.  With only marginally better offense last year, they probably end up winning a few more games too. They only scored over 27 points in 3 games last season. I think this is a great move by the Steelers and if Rodgers can stay healthy all year, will get them back into the playoffs and could make some noise if their defense is up to the normal level of a Steelers defense.
