Dallas and the month of October

A lot of people on this forum are really upset about the way this season has started and I'm included in that as well, but I definitely see a chance for this team to get back into it. That reason is the Dallas Cowboys and the month of October, and these games will likely decide the fate of our beloved Panthers (and John Fox). If we can somehow pull out a win against Dallas on Monday night (we are due a big win), things could be much better after the bye. Here's how the month of October shakes out:

Oct 3: Bye, this will give us a chance to sit back (hopefully enjoy a win) and get reenergized about our chances, and it should give players a chance to rest and the coaching staff a chance to figure out what went wrong so far.

Oct 11: Washington Redskins, they haven't looked good so far, their defense is decent but their offense is pretty pathetic. They only managed 9 points against the Rams. They always play us tough but we have two weeks to prepare and its at home.

Oct 18: @ Tampa Bay Bucs, the Buccanears have looked awful this year and our running game should absolutely dominate them all afternoon. We never play well in Tampa but the Bucs are usually never this bad either.

Oct 25: Buffalo Bills, so glad that this game is at home because the Bills are a decent football team. They should of beat the Patriots and dominated the Bucs, this one could be big.

If we can beat all these teams (and thats definitely plausible) we could be 4-2 at the end of October. Before the season started if somone were to tell you we would be 4-2 at this point we would have been excited so there's still a chance we can get back into this. Then again we could just as easily be 1-5 going into November as well, and in that case, I believe the season would be over. Because November, December, and January are going to be brutal!!!

November: @ Cardinals, @ Saints, vs Falcons, vs Dolphins, @ Jets

December: vs Bucs, @ Patriots, vs Vikings, @ Giants

January: vs Saints

John Fox better get a winning streak started on Monday night.

It's either going to be an exciting game with great expectations to come.

Or a dissapointment followed by an excrutiating long season.

Simply put this all starts with Fox. If he can rally this team @ Dallas, confidence and moxy restored. If he fails to commit this team to winning, I hope that this is his last year.

I think if we win this game it'll be a good possibility that we are 4-2...but we are prone to be streaky in a good way and a bad way...I just hope that if we do get to 4-2 that we don't end up 5-11 after that stretch

Thats my fear too. Its hard to look at the end of the schedule and see 6 wins, which could potenitally get us to 10-6. The bucs, dolphins, and falcons maybe, but I can't see the rest.

We typically stink coming out of a bye week. That does not bode well for our game v Washington.

It's kind of like Jean Claude in Bloodsport...they need to get kicked around a little before they get pissed off enough to start whoopin some ass.

It's real simple, Carolina's season depends on how soon they get this new defense down, and how much they can improve on ST's.
