Why is nobody talking about this?

At some point the NFL is going to have to address the terrible officiating.

Won't happen.  The refs are doing exactly what they want them to do.  This year has been about putting Cam in his place and teaching him how to fall in line like the other boys in the QB club.     If nothing was done after Cam was hit in the knees, and the Denver game this year, etc, nothing matters.  Blatant terrible calls that go unpunished.

Yes, the Panthers' regression is definitely due to a vast, league-wide, anti-Cam conspiracy. There can be no other possible explanation -- I've seen the light!

Except it started with the actual Super Bowl which was probably the most poorly officiated SB of all time with like 20 bad calls going about the Panthers.   But hey....

You'd think that the powers-that-be would have prevented the Panthers from reaching that stage, putting Cam in his place, teaching him how to fall in line like the other boys in the QB club, and all.

Do you even watch Panthers games?  It's pretty obvious, to the point, even announcers are calling out the lack of calls Cam gets.   Even a shot to the knees with a no-call didn't change anything.   I'm sorry, it's obvious, but if I point out it's a blue sky on a clear Carolina summer day and you say it's red, not much I can do.

Some of my family is from Apex; I watch quite a few Panthers games and am just busting your balls to an extent -- Cam definitely deserves more calls than he gets (I actually get a decent amount of poo on the Atlanta boards for this opinion). But he is hardly the first running QB to not hold the benefit of the doubt and I very much doubt the NFL is targeting him and/or the Panthers with some nebulous goal to 'get Cam in line' or the other. That sounds like SaintsReport-level conspiracy lunacy.

He's not a running QB.  In fact, he's hardly ran this year at all.  Yet is taking hits in the pocket all year.    Even got hit in the head on a slide last week.   No calls.   Lightning usually doesn't strike the same place 340 times is all I'm saying.

Do you really think there was a board meeting where they decided 'Hey you know what? The league would be so much better / more profitable if we forced (through no-calls) Cam to be a pocket passer like ~30 other starting QBs in the game!'

And Cam holds basically every career 'running QB' record there is. If he isn't a 'running QB,' no one is.

He's not anymore, he can't be.  I think there's a few refs around, maybe one on each time, that does the league's bidding.   The league gets worse EVERY year, why do they allow it?  Why is no one getting fired?  Sometimes the only logical choice is the only one left.    Trump is going to be our president, so is anything REALLY off limits?   The NFL has been shady since Goodell took over with story-line setups and questionable things.    You even have refs telling him he's not old enough for calls.   Earlier this year we had a game where a ref was staring RIGHT at a spot for us.   He goes over after and spots the ball like a full TWO yards away.   The replay showed him looking right at it, 5 feet away.    I believe in coincidences but they only stay coincidences the first 200 times honestly.

Cams attempts are down from 8.2 to 6.2 per game from last year.  He's running a little less but I wouldn't say that is never running  This could be due to playing a little cautiously after a concussion and just not having the ball as long as last year.

If not for missing a game he would have the most qb rushing attempts.

Well since I can't disprove the existence of a massive, clandestine plot to undermine Cam and the Panthers and you can't provide any tangible evidence, I guess we've reached a logical stopping point for this debate.

Here's to hoping the league isn't fixed -- I'd feel more than a little silly if it were.

I feel there is a lot less designed runs.  Maybe some QB sneaks but otherwise, etc.   It doesn't matter, the guy takes a beating in the pocket (and apparently sliding now).

You do know Borat is Jeremy in disguise?
