Apparently Milsap is next.. We need to find a way to grab some of these assets just being handed out. Korver was gotten for a ULTRA late 1st Rnd pick. Cn't we swing a deal Cho - Please!?

Batum has a hyper-extended knee, Cody has a concussion.. MKG is MKG, plain and simple.. Marvin has all but gone missing - who by the way couldn't be happier MKG is the target right now in most fan's eyes.. Marvin hasn't even been mentioned for the most part.. that deal is starting to look like warm water at the bottom of a garbage bag Or worse, soggy newspaper..

It is painfully obvious we have been floundering since our hot start and need a shot to the arm here before the trade deadline..

This team needs to make a trade for some scoring. I would love Brandon Knight or Lou Williams to help with bench scoring. Sessions has been a little better as of late but his 3 point shooting is awful. I know it gets brought up a lot but I am one of the few who wouldn't mind Rudy Gay if the price is right. only on the hook for max 2 years and would bring a huge scoring upgrade to the 3 spot which is desperately needed.

Milsap will be too expensive for what he is. I rather shoot for the stars and offer the kitchen sink for Jimmy Butler. Frank, MKG, 3 first round picks what ever it takes, basically the entire team except for Kemba, Nic, and Cody.

Was spit balling a trade I like with a buddy the other day. Millsap for Frank, Marvin, a first and a second. I think they would just take that, and I'd do it.

I wouldn't want to give Frank up for a one year rental on Milsap, I just think he has to much potential to ship him off for that little. Now if he was being sent out for a legit young all star like Butler I would be ok with it.

Meh, you're higher on Frank than I am which is understandable

I am not saying he is going to be the next Dirk, but he has shown the ability to score from different spots on the floor and has the ability to get his own shot. He has places he has to improve (consistency is a big one) but he could be a piece on a championship caliber team. Even if he is just a 6th man/2nd unit offensive focal point(that is his floor in my opinion) I don't want to just dump that for a rental.

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
