Paintball, anyone still play?

So this past weekend I played Paintball for my first time in nearly 5 years, anyone else play or still play?

I never got rid of my old gear and used it all this past weekend with great success, surprisingly so even considering the stuff had been sitting in storage for the better part of the last 5 years. I enjoyed it so much that I think I may start to pick it back up again as a hobby, especially considering to get back into my one true love of whitewater is a hell of a drive for me at the moment.

Wait,...still?

Pretty much most everyone I used to know that played every weekend gave it up about the same time I did. Which was when the market crashed back in 2008, paintball was an expensive hobby and a lot of people saved money by stop playing

  • 2 weeks later...

Tried to hang with my young son and his friends.  Had my old visor...ran into a room but didn't see the threshold when running in and scalped a portion on my head.  I bought some airsoft rifles and we play every once in a while.  Cheaper and a bit safer.  Love the game though.

    • Don't have to be miss cleo. His weakness are length, athleticism, creating his own shot, defense, finishing at the rim,  Strengths - shooting and IQ.   Likely won't work as non athletic shooters don't typically work.

    • I live in Indiana and took a trip that weekend to watch my two friend's teams play (Chiefs and Vikings) IN Minnesota when they were playing at a college field, I think TCF? Anyways, our plan was to watch the game (noon game) then do some shopping at the Mall of America, I wasn't planning on watching the Panthers play Seattle since I was out sight seeing and walking around after the noon game had ended. By the time we were walking back into the Mall the Panthers were down by 2 scores in the 4th or going into the 4th and we were all thirsty from walking around for 2.5 hours after the Vikings game so we decided to postpone shopping until after we ate. We found this nice little sports bar inside the mall that had the game on. Man, I'm so glad we skipped shopping because that was probably the most excited I've been in some time for a win. Beating Seattle in 2015 felt like the "monkey off the back" sort of feeling and I knew we had finally arrived as a team. The entire bar erupted when Cam hit Olsen for that walk off TD. Literally one of the greatest moments of my life. My friend wasn't so happy though lol, by the time the Panthers game ended ALL of the stores inside the mall had closed and he wasn't able to get any souvenirs. It was his first time watching a Vikings game live and making a trip like that so he was legit upset lol. I on the other hand couldn't have been happier.
