You're better than this.  We get it back in 2019, Adam Silver guaranteed Jordan this when they moved this years.  Duh.

Guaranteed on the premise that HB2 was repealed. It was partially repealed, but some language in HB142 remains carried over from HB2. It is not a certainty that the NCAA will even come back here with HB142, let alone the All-Star Game.

They did what the NCAA wanted.  So, they'll be back.  They also did what the NBA wanted, and Adam Silvers punk ass wanted.

I don't think it was ever about the bill, it was about public perception.  So the repeal, partial or not, gives the general fan the perception that it has been repealed.  So, the NBA can come back without fear of bad press (same as the NCAA).  So, I'm sure we'll get the all-star game.  Not sure about the year, but it will likely be soon.

    • In May of 2026, it looks like a challenging schedule...and it probably is.  I rarely listen to the "strength of schedule" conversations that light up social media this time of year. Each year teams improve and decline. I think there's chunks of the year we need to take care of business and the week 5 bye is not desired.  I do think if we don't hit the bye week at 3-1, it's going to be a major uphill battle given the schedule in front of us. This season falls on three people, regardless of schedule strength: Canales, Bryce, Evero.  Canales: Finally can truly coach all aspects of the team and not focus with gameday prep for OC duties anymore. He drives the bus and needs to get these guys in position to win each week. There's no way vets come in and put it on the line every week to watch our QB sh!t the bed (See: SF game last year). Bryce: Despite everyone's obsession with thinking Bryce is a guaranteed extension, I think this year will truly be his "prove it" year. If he comes out the way he has the past three years, I really don't see how vets and coaches can continue to put him under center long-term. He might play out that fifth year as the starter, but I think next offseason his long-term replacement is found. I also think there's no excuses with the weapons and commitment we've made on offense to insulate him with every possible weapon.  Evero: Best personnel he's had since he's been here...no excuses. Figure out how to blitz effectively. Figure out how to use CBs whose strengths are press/man. Figure out how to utilize a talented front-7 to get the hell of the field. Outside of FS and maybe....maybe ILB, there are few weaknesses on this unit.
    • Canales can never get his teams ready in the first week of the season so far. Hope that changes or Ben Johnson is going to take his azz to school.
