My point is that Fournette fits perfectly into our physical identity. You can evolve an offense and still keep they physical brand of football.

I don't care about identity, I care about winning.

So you want 1st-down-run-2nd-down-run-3rd-down-pass-4th-down-punt to remain the same, you just want to do it MORE physically.

Did I say that? You can be physical and balanced. I see the number 1 problem on this board is making assumptions and running with it.

Have you ever looked at our W's vs. L's for the history of this team?

I have. Up until last season, I believe we were basically a .500 franchise. Now what I saw out of last season's offense was the inability to protect the Qb & (both in pass protection and the constant Qb runs called)  the inability to mix up pass plays (more intermediate passes).

I believe that the 3 years prior to last season that we were building that winning culture. I also believe that most of our issues can be fixed.

Soooooo, no we have not been a "winning franchise" as you described us?

Here's the deal...Fournette..while very talented is a 1 trick pony for the most part.  He will be pretty good/great between the tackles, an unknown in the catching game, and is a below average pass protector for his size.  He will easily step into Stews job, and handle it pretty well.

McCaffrey is a multi use tool.  Can impact the game in a variety of different ways.  Kick return, Punt return, running back, slot receiver, or lined up wide in 3/4 WR sets.

10-15 rushes per game, 5-6 returns per game, lined up as a receiver 5-10 times per game.  Use him exactly how Atlanta uses Devonta Freeman, and you may see this offense explode.

P.S. we still have Stew under contract for 2 more years.

And here you go switching up my words. I never said we were a winning franchise but that up until last year we've been winning. Part of that is my mistake for not going into detail but part of that was you ASSUMING I was talking about all 21 seasons we've played so far.

Under this coaching staff, we had been winning up until last season. I believe they will learn from their mistakes and get back to that this season.

We have had 2 winning seasons, and 4 losing seasons under Ron Rivera.

I'm aware of that. We've also had 3 division titles and 3 divisional round appearances. That's 3 playoff appearances in 6 seasons. Trust me, I'm one of his biggest critics (he's blocked me on twitter) but I'm willing to change some things. They are still young as a staff.

Winning is a process and I think we'll see it start to pay off in the fall.

My point, is that just because we got to the big dance 2 years ago doesn't mean we need to follow the same blueprint to get back....we need...we must evolve, or Cam's career is going to be much shorter than any of us could envision.

I'm not disagreeing with that. You can evolve in more than one way and still keep that physical brand of football.

You can also get utility guys in the latter rounds (Devonta Freeman, Ty Montgomery, Devin Hester, Tyreek Hill, Duke Johnson, etc.)
