Is jacobs playing??

anyone see any confirmation that he is playing? other than him telling the media that he is. Observer lists him as questionable - probably a game time decision. If that is the case, and he is questionable on Friday/Saturday, then you gotta wonder IF he can make the cuts on his sore knee and just how effective he will be.

Go PANTHERS!

Him playing makes them a better team, (obviously) but I think we can handle him just like we have other elite running backs this year. With him in there, even if he's not 100% helps little Eli out immensely. He's kinda like Jake in the fact he needs the play action to be most effective.

Torn PCL?

quote from Dec 13th prior to Cowboys game from Giants.com

''Both Jacobs and coach Tom Coughlin have been vague on exactly what the problem is, Multiple sources yesterday said that Jacobs has a very lightly damaged posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. It is not expected that he will require offseason surgery; however, the Giants are doing everything possible to make sure the injury doesn't get worse. Thus, the cautious approach for Dallas Week.''

A person close to Jacobs said, "The knee is sore but the injury is not that serious, and Jacobs should be fine when they need him this season."

I think if Jacobs plays it will be mainly for emotional reasons. If he is there it will be an emotional lift for the Giants. I believe he could get 10 carries but probably less. Cause the Giants are not dumb, they know they can go on the road and win the Super Bowl.

Put it this way, if they risk hurting Jacobs for the playoffs they would be stupid. They have a better chance of winning the Super Bowl with a healthy Brandon Jacobs on the road, then they do with a hurt Jacobs at home.

    • Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan is putting the league on notice early into his NFL career, and 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan is well aware.  “I think he’s a stud,” Shanahan told reporters Thursday. “He’s going to be one of the best receivers in this league sooner than later. He’s got all the skill sets to do it, and I think he’s just getting started.”  Through 11 games played, McMillan has racked up 748 receiving yards on 54 receptions. He ranks sixth in the NFL in receiving yards and leads all rookies in the category.  Carolina selected McMillan as the No. 8 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. San Francisco had the 11th overall pick.  Did the receiver out of Arizona catch Shanahan’s eye in draft preparation?  “Yeah, big time,” Shanahan said.  Shanahan also said that he thought the receiver would be taken well ahead of the 49ers’ draft position, but the team did their due diligence when scouting the best overall draft picks in the 2025 class. With McMillan off the board, San Francisco ended up selecting defensive end Mykel Williams with the 11th pick to bolster its defensive line. https://www.nbcsportsbayarea.com/nfl/san-francisco-49ers/kyle-shanahan-tetairoa-mcmillan/1893558/
    • Koochie is playing his best hockey yet so far but it’s a small sample size
    • In basically every win but Atlanta he's had 2-3 plays that were a big deal but he also was part of why we needed those 2-3 plays instead of just cruising.
